As for the original post, your answer is simple AT THIS MOMENT. Look at our current roster, we have 3 OFers on the major league roster (if you include Coghlan, an infielder by trade). After that the only guy who can play OF on the current team is Bonifacio.

 

Yes I know very soon we will have Carroll back. Yes we all love Carroll, as he is the best defensive player we have, but lets not kid ourselves. He is not and probably never will be an everyday player. He is however a great person to give a spot start to and be a defensive replacement.

 

And come September, I can promise you we won't be talking much about Hermida, as Maybin will be up, starting in CF, and Cody Ross will move to RF with Coghlan staying in LF. So Hermida again is starting temporarily, once we are ready, the replacements will be ready.

I think he meant to say that we are all sick of waiting for Hermida to be good. We would like to see him hit better with runners in scoring position...yeah something like that.
