He does not play like he has fun, for him baseball is like being punished, regardless of how much he gets paid. He just doesn't care. What a waste! I am surprised how many scouts all around the game were wrong when he was advertised. There is nothing on a baseball field that he can do adequately. He matches Michael Jackson ( wears a glove for no purpose )a butcher as a fielder, slow runner, bellow average thrower, doesn't hit either for power or average, let alone he's not a clutch performer. This all is not what we need now. Leaders in Wild Card and Division are still within striking distance, we can't afford to wait another 2 weeks to have him out. Bench him NOW

He isn't a terrible fiedler. He's an average fielder. And he has a career .768 OPS. Not great, but he doesn't suck.

Cody left 7 men on tonight and the team went 2 for 10 with RISP. It is easy to point out Hermida (because he easily had the worst game in that particular category) but the team in general has struggled.

Uggla is having a better overall season, but not by that much. Hermida has hit RHP better.

I was putting forth the argument of the team's inability to hit with runners in scoring position and used both Hermida's and Ross' stats tonight as an example. I'm sure you had your own expectations of Hermida as did others (myself included) but I'm not really too sure how he himself tricked you qualifying as a fraud.

His 2007 season wasn't a disappointment. Although he certainly hasn't excelled in every aspect of his professional career, your last statement is false.

But since you seem to be the genius who called me out... Maybin had 95 plate appearances this year, and hit to a line of: .202/.280/.310. Hermida has been better than that. Emilio Bonifacio has been better than that! (and we all love Bonifacio! ) But hey...you're right. Lets throw in the rookie who proved nothing in the first month of the season into the middle of this playoff race. It'll AUTOMATICALLY make this team better! So obvious! . . .

Didn't Rab sum this up perfectly the other day when he said that it's not that he likes him, it's that the people that dislike him are so absurdly over the top retarded that you have to defend him because he's not as bad as they say he is. Hermida's been f***ing awful this year, believe me, I know. I was a fan of his. Nobody (Seriously) wanted him to succeed more than me. But he hasn't been the worst player on our team this season. He's been massively dissapointing, and at this point, yes, I'm ready for Brett Carroll to start over him (Though Maybin is my preferred option), but come on. It's been stupid for 3 years.
