I didn't say he "sucks" like it's a definitive answer. But lately he has been sucking as in the present tense. I'm not trying to be mean to the guy, but he has been having a rough time lately which was my only point really.

And he's missed three field goals in his past two games. That's called a slump and even the second most accurate kicker in NFL history can go through one of those.

Olindo Mare missing that field goal off the dirt infield (and ultimately losing the game against the Pats) should be impetus enough for H. Wayne to get involved. Mare's been missing field goals lately regardless of whether he's on grass or a dirt infield. I think it's a matter of him sucking and not the surface he's kicking from.

It's definitely a close second, but this would be the best cover ever... Of course that is a personal choice.

Is it just me or do you hate the thought of the Yankees signing ANY Marlin? And this is the 'I grew up with a family full of Red Sox fans' talking...The endless cash flow annoys me around this time of year when they buy every free agent possible and load the team up with superstars. Hopefully it will blow up in their face once again.

I just moved to Boca after living my whole life in Pines. I'd welcome having the stadium close to me again.

Yeah, I wouldn't follow hockey either if the Sharks were the closest team to me.

After watching Barry for all these years I am pretty sure, as close as he is to the record, they'd have to pry his bat from his cold dead hands to keep him from overcoming Aaron. Of course getting opposing teams to pitch to him may be what keeps him from it if anything.

Yeah, it's like the ESPY's with just hockey players. That's where they give out all of their awards. Of course just like with the Stanley Cup no one gets to actually keep the trophy.

You can't be such a defeatist. My grandmother is 74 and STILL believes that the Red Sox are going to win every year. That's some faith. You have to figure you'll get lucky and it'll happen eventually. I mean it's the Giants, not the Cubs.

what difference does it make? The difference is, and this is being picky after the fact, that we could have actually been there to see them win in person had Gagne not given up the homer. The second time I've been to the game BEFORE they won the World Series. Bitter? Hell yeah.

With the pitching staff set it gives AJ all the time he needs to get ready to play. There is no rushing him. I believe he's going to have to earn his spot if the other guys are still performing at such a high level and that means starting out in the bullpen. AJ's amazing though so he'll work his way back in there pretty quickly. I don't imagine he'll want to spend much time relieving games.

The Yankees haven't won since 2000. That's tragic for them and their fans. YanksBaby is just showing his frustration that the team may be going through another drought like that they suffered from '78-'96. God, I hope that is the case!

Florida Marlins foreva! I'm usually all for alliteration, but it just wouldn't seem right to me to change their name at this point.
