What is mens/women college basketball the only thing that matters to you? Is it because UNC sucks in every other sport? As a matter of fact, basketball is all that matters to me, and it used to be to your school until your basketball program decided to stop making the NCAAs but just for fun...we were finalists in the CWS this past year, we have a national championship in Womens BBall and Mens Soccer, and weve won in Womens Soccer 18 times so, no, we dont suck in every other sport

Maryland fans cared more about Redick the last 4 years then their actual team. tormenting him the last 4 years has been great............. Maryland going to back to back NITs has been much greater should you guys celebrate actually LOSING to UVA? South Florida? I mean come on now I'd rather squeak by teams like that then Lose by such a big margin. No, we should celebrate having a far better basketball program than you, which is what I dissed to begin with buddy

just like your basketball program Wanna talk college football? Fighting to stay above DOOOK in the standings? That's what i thought. Oh yeah: 3 National Championships (Womens Bball which we beat YOU guys in the Final 4, Mens soccer, women's field hockey) in '06 for the Terps. We kick your butt in nearly every other sport. Not that it matters too much, but just thought i'd remind you......... Actually, I assumed even a Maryland student could tell from my post that I wanted to talk about the basketball program, not the football program. But FWIW, beating W&M, MTSU, FIU, and squeeking by UVA is nothing to celebrate. I dont care if were in the cellar, you still cant talk smack in football. Also, I like that you resort to Womens Ball, Mens Soccer and Womens Field Hockey (redundant) to top us. Way to go! Whats next, youll beat us Volleyball? Were screwed now.

Realignment when the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays came in. The D-Rays went into the AL East, moving Detroit over to the AL Central. Arizona was assigned to the NL West. Then for some reason, Milwaukee was moved to the NL Central. It would have made more sense to move the Royals to the AL West, especially with Texas already there, thus nixing the distance argument and thus establishing balance among all the divisions and leagues. Instead, the AL has 14 teams, while the NL has 16 teams. Additionally, the AL West has only 4 teams, while the NL Central has a staggering 6 teams. You do understand that having an odd number of teams in both leagues would have caused a huge scheduling problem, right? Think about it. That's why Milwaukee was moved to the NL. Yep, that wouldve meant an Interleague game nearly every night, and (like rferry said) owners only wanted moderate amounts of interleague :thumbup

I was playing off the use of that statement earlier this week but in all seriousness it's the worst BCS conference this year. QFT The ACC is a disaster.

Ya know, I was a casual UM football fan for my entire life until I transferred to FSU last year. I must say, from an outside perspective for the first time, I'm pretty damn glad I switched sides. Because nothing says class like FSU football.

well, is FIU a real opponent? No disrespect to any FIU fans here, but I sure dont think so theyre 15-29 all time and have been in D1 for 3 years. why should one of the best football programs in the last 20 years, with 5 national titles, show any respect to FIU? you say that youre just as unranked as UM is. not really...becuase theres a big difference between 4-2 in the ACC and winless in the Sun Belt But they are still a D-1 school. They shouldn't have to put up with the disrespect the Canes were showing them. The Canes just did not come in prepared to play the game, because they assumed all they had to do was show up and win. And, yeah they won pretty handily, but FIU did lost their 2 best offensive playmakers and alot of defensive guys, so really, they scored 14 points against the FIU defense and then 21 on their second team. FIU played them almost even in the first half. they assumed correctly. theyre better than FIU, they acted like it, and they shut them out who cares if theyre in D1? they havent done anything and received all the respect they deserved. FIU will just have to be big guys and take the disrespect

I don't think people are placing all the blame on UM. It's just that no one cares about FIU. That right there is exactly why the fight happened. For a young program to have to play against teams that obviously think they can just show up and win is disrespectful. You play the game, and you play it right. You don't come in acting like you are king of the world, especially when you are just as unranked as we are. UM's players have no respect for anyone, including their school, and it showed last night. I'm not condoning what FIU did at all, but it is certainly understandable for their players to want to be taken seriously, and while this may not help them, it certainly showed UM to take them seriously, as they proceeded to actually play football after that. thats bulls***, FIU spent the entire night trying to get under Miami's skin including during the pre-game warmups and are ultimately responsible for what happened lastnight. That is normal trash talking, and was no worse than what happens in most games. But since the Canes played like they didn't even see FIU as real opponents, it escalated. well, is FIU a real opponent?
