RossInfoMan
where in the world did you get that quote from? No one knows exactly when he'll be back, but to turn "I know Ill be back before the all-star break," which is what he said to "might be back sometime this year," do you work for the herald? djm305
''I know I'll be back this year,'' Burnett said. ``I know I'll be back before the All-Star break. And if I come back at the All-Star break, you've got a healthy horse for the second half [of the season].''
QuickGold
Eh, they'll have a better idea of his return as we get closer to May.

bman8316
I just hope that he dosent rush it and that Oliver keeps us alive until A.J. returns.
PBMarlin
We need AJ for the long term. No need to rush his return. If it takes until the All Star break, or later, so be it. We need a healthy and strong AJ to return....for good.

El Guapo
a.j. is still very young i know we all wanna see this guy blowing away hitters again but if it takes untill after the all-star break or even worst case next year ill take it that if it means i get to see this guy for the next 15 years ....trust as a former pitcher whenu get hurt all u wanna do is come back quickly and sometimes u come back to soon like i did and u end up getting hurt again...and its no fun getting surgery again and doing rehab all over it really sucks ..........so a.j. please take your time u have many more years to go......... Das Texan
so much for you idiots counting on AJ being with this team and producing well in May. put AJ in the bullpen for all the year. If Oliver struggles...or I should say when...give Wayne another shot and see what he can do.

If Oliver struggles...or I should say when...give Wayne another shot and see what he can do. You're an idiot. I hope AJ doesnt rush back and I hope we dont see him til well after the ASB. That said, Oliver is not going to struggle. He will put up similar numbers to Redman. All we need is for him to eat innings and give us a chance to win. As for AJ being the pen for the whole year, I dont see the value in that. The theory is that he could get work against major league hitters little by little til he is ready to start. Or you can send him to the minors, where he will get innings and blow away inferior competition. I think he should get back into starting and the mentality that goes with it. Pen work is safe, but not going to provide him with that experience of starting again. Minor league batters offer him little competition - but at least he would be starting and thinking like a starter. I think the latter benefits him more. So, dont bring him back until he is ready to start.

JBurque
Idiot A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive. You can probably tell, but if you can't; I'm offended
