Hey guys, I know none of you are as big a Brad Penny fan as I am, but I think this year you are going to see what I have been trying to tell you. I bet you now that he makes the all star team. He had an awesome outing today and is in the best shape he has ever been in.

ojala acere

It is about time. Penny has top-of-the-rotation stuff. He is only going to start MEETING expectations. Dont give him credit yet. I wanna like him, I really do. And I think the World Series experience was something to give him confidence and for him to build on.

Oh, and Keyshawn Johnson sucks... :D

So you guys still refuse to give him any credit. He didnt do anything to help get us to and win the world series??? I say if he hadnt come through, we wouldnt have won!!

he did great in the WS, no denying that....

but he needs to put together a whole year

I give him all the credit. He put a good year and came huge during the WS. He deserved the WS MVP (Beckett as well, so I'm not complaining).

However, I hope he mature and does even better this year. He still hasn't reach his ceiling. I think he will be huge for us this year.

Penny is a very good pitcher no doubt but he cant hit the corners consistantly.

He tries to over power hitters with his fastball. When he does this he leaves the ball down the middle. His curveball is always good, that isnt a problem.

Lets see if he can put things together. I dont think he will make the All-Star team, but he might have a good year.

about DIME time

:lolup

And I agree. If Penny can put together an entire season with the performance of last year's playoff(NLDS and WS :p ), then there is no doubt that the Marlins should be labeled as serious contenders this year :thumbup

I agree... he needs the full year. WS was great, he seems pretty humbled too...knowing that he isn't the best and realizing that he needs to work.

I am partial to him anyhow, I have a HUGE crush on that southern boy!

I didnt realize Oklahoma was in the South

I am from Cali...everything back there is south to me. He loves all the southern crap, hunting, fishing and has the accent. Besides he looks southern. That is my Penny definition of south.
