whose house got the ashiest from the fire in northwest miami dade?

Miri lives in Hialeah pretty close to the fires and her car was covered in ash. The sky looks so weird with all the smoke up there.

Right now, the fire near Bird Rd and 157th Ave is a lot scarier. Currently the is a mandatory evacuation order for about 500 residents, and homes are in danger. As I was going south on Krome Ave about 5:20 -5:30 this evening, I literally watched the smoke collumn go from small to enormous.

 

BTW The fire in the NW area is currently at least 70% contained (hopefully it will be out soon.)

Yep...this fire is right by my house....a mile west from me....we can see the flames shooting up in the air from my backyard.....Cars are dirty, but it doesn't matter..it washes off...

I live just a few miles northeast of the fires by US 27 and when I got home from work Friday night, there was some ash covering some of the cars in my area.

Exactly, remember how we were talking about that in the car, babe? The smoke around here has cleared up so I thought it was weird that the smoke had reached all the way down there. So I guess that explains it.

you can still smell the burn outside. and i even have leaf particles on my front porch. u can pick them up, break them in half and smell the burn inside of them. its amazing how far the ashes and debree actually goes.

My house smelled like smoke this morning and had ashes on my car...sad part is that my car got ashes from both fires...meh....

 

More concerned about the kids and schools around the area (i.e. Braddock, JSR, etc)...

yeah, my car is dirty because of all the ash. Sucks.

We heard from other South Miamians yesterday about the same thing. I could not believe the size of the smoke cloud. It looked like something had blown up over there, and it was still pretty thick down here as it headed out into the bay....pretty amazing.

It's not snowing ash in Maine, but it is actually snowing! Just when it was starting to look like spring....

Dang this is a hazard to Miami Dade County students. They oughtta cancel school tommorow so no children inhale any chemicals.

 

Oh well im only going for 2 hours tommorow!
