April 11, 200422 yr Looks like a young Rafael Palmeiro. Exactly what I was thinking. What a sweet swing.
April 11, 200422 yr All together now: "HEE SOEP CHOI, HEE SOEP CHOI" To the tune of "USA"... :thumbup
April 11, 200422 yr He prob would've had 4 now b/c in the expos series he hit a ball that looked like a homer when it left the bat but he broke the bat and ended up being a long fly out.
April 11, 200422 yr Both home runs tonight, in fact all three of his HRs this season were in what I'd call "Derrek Lee's Death Valley". Choi seems to make it look so easy when he connects you have to wonder why Derrek could never get the job done? The ball just seems to climb and climb and climb. Of course it's way too easy to start drawing conclusions, in fact I think we really won't know until sometime NEXT season what we have on our hands in Choi. But so far so good.
April 11, 200422 yr The entire crowd started cheering "Hee Sop Choi" "Hee Sop Choi" when he came to the plate after the 2nd home run. He struck out swinging, but nobody cared, they just kept cheering him as he returned to the dugout It was really great to see. He is very quickly becoming an instrumental part of this club. :thumbup
April 11, 200422 yr Author He tried had some HR swings in that strikeout; looking to build on the crowd's enthusiasm.
April 11, 200422 yr He tried had some HR swings in that strikeout; looking to build on the crowd's enthusiasm. it could be, but eh, all his swings look like HR swings. hell, 3 of his 4 hits are HRs. i don't mind him swinging for the fences at all with this kind of production.
April 11, 200422 yr To see one of Choi's home runs, click here and the select "Plays of the Game" from the video list.
April 11, 200422 yr All I want to know, where are the people that were calling for Choi to ride the pine? Where are you?
April 11, 200422 yr btw, this was a quote of a Cubs Fan on the official MLB.COM forums a few days ago. "We won't be missing the 250 pound clumsy slap-hitter anytime soon IMO" God, I love to it!
April 11, 200422 yr All I want to know, where are the people that were calling for Choi to ride the pine? Where are you? Not me... Where is Heckeroo to lambast those people anyway? :lol

April 11, 200422 yr Choi's swing at his last at bat- he went for it! If he had connected it would of been three homers! The man is rocking! And the crowd is jumping for Choi! _
