Ice Man
Lets all send Emails to ESPN and Fox and who ever and let them know that The Marlin Nation wants more media attention. What the hell? They win the world series and they can't get their games to be shown on ESPN. I have Direct TV and I still only get like 2 or 3 games a week, And im paying 167.00$(give or take a few bucks) I could care less about watching the Yankees getting spanked by the White Sox or the Tigers whooping up on Minnesota. I want Marlins, and Im paying to see them and I STILL CAN' T SEE THEM! WTF!? I will NOT pay for the MLB.TV Bull, when it's the same as MLB Extra Innings AND I can't watch them on my big TV. Screw Houston and The Philles and SCREW the Yankees.

Trust me, as a White Sox fan in this Cub infested town, i've tried the whole "get the media to pay attention by emailing them" thing, and it doesn't work
bman8316
I like it better this year all of us here know what the Marlins are capable of. If the media dosent want to pay attention to us thats there faults we will just fly under the radar once again.
Ice Man
Well, I'm all fine with perhaps the media not covering us...I just wish Theyd show more of their games on ESPN.

Mave
That's a lot dude, you must have like 80 recievers connected, why so expensive? My DirecTV service is only about 40 a month, and I have 4 recievers.
TSwift25
I know I'm in the minority, but I like the obscurity. Let the Phils and Yanks and Astros have the pressure, just as long as we win. Sure it sucks that we have to watch national garbage games when we're better than a lot of the teams they're showing, but I like it...no pressure = better results. The only thing that does piss me off is that we get no credit for winning, it's always that the Phils dropped one to us, not that we took one from them...annoying. Ice Man
its 167 for MLB Extra inninings alone, plus the 56$ a mo for 4 recievers and HBO and stars packaging.
QuickGold
Unfortunately thats how things are so we'll have to be satisfied with local coverage.

Ice Man
but at least you'd think the FLORIDA marlins would get coverage in FLORIDA!
MizzezBeckett21
but at least you'd think the FLORIDA marlins would get coverage in FLORIDA! True. We get overage of the Mariners in Idaho, Montana, and Oregon... Why wouldn't they show the Marlins games all over Florida?
FutureGM
According to a schedule I saw, the Marlins only play on ESPN once.
rferry
According to a schedule I saw, the Marlins only play on ESPN once. http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...showtopic=16545 Only for now. ESPN hasn't announced their Sunday Night Baseball schedule for the second half. And they only announce their mid-week schedule a week or two in advance. DONT KNOW BECAUSE EVERYTHING CENTRAL FLORIDA SUCKS! The Magic, the Gators and UCF.
RockyMountainMarlin
Preach to the choir bro. My best shot at watching the fish is when they play the Braves on TBS. I just cancelled the Extra Innings package (thru Comcast, not directv) since I missed Penny and Willis' games this week alone. You can see every Yankee, Met, Phillies ... game but you're out of luck of Marlins games for a good part of the season. Marlins-Phillies tomorrow was supposed to be on ESPN, but I think they replaced it for the Giants and Bonds. :thumbdown
Ice Man
I have respect for Bonds, which is rare on this board...but he IS not more important than the World Champs.

I live in Central Florida also, and we don't get FSN up here and it's not like we can buy MLB Extra innings or MLB.tv cuz the Marlin's games are blacked out. I'll get to watch my first game of the season Friday when they play the braves.

RockyMountainMarlin
I checked yesterday and they had todays game on Extra Innings. So I tune in an hour ago and can't find it. Turns out they decided against showing it. :thumbdown
