May 25, 200323 yr a) loria's email is not public...only samson's is known. b) i know i ripped off rome's old line...but it applies here and thats one of the few lines of his i enjoy. c) you should hold onto gonzalez and cabrera at just about all costs.
May 25, 200323 yr I'd give up Penny and Luis for Adam Dunn but who do we replace Penny with in the rotation. The reds will love this deal because they really need a lerad off hitter like Castillo and we need Dunn's Power in our lineup and then we can get rid of pudge. The reds have to give up some prospects though they are getting two very good players in return
May 25, 200323 yr Author um no. Dunn is enough. no need to get greedy. and where is Pudge going? he has a no trade clause
May 25, 200323 yr and we are getting an RBI producer to build your team around. you can find a starter off the scrap heap somewhere to eat innings. also refer to my post a page or so ago.
May 25, 200323 yr Author Beckett, Pavano, Redman, Willis a formidable 4some.... especially they way Carl and Mark have been pitching this season find a #5 somewhere and you are fine. then in 2005, AJ is back!
May 25, 200323 yr ^^^^^^ TRU! Edit: If you are going to post something, please post something with substance...not just some random comment...Thanks. MB Mod Team
May 25, 200323 yr If we trade we need some good hitters we don't need pitchers and really i think we got a perfect team.

May 25, 200323 yr Whoa, we are the MB Mod Team now? I didn't know we had a name. :mischief2 I'd throw in Tejera for yesterday's newspaper. :lol
May 26, 200323 yr Whoa, we are the MB Mod Team now? I didn't know we had a name. :mischief2 I'd throw in Tejera for yesterday's newspaper. :lol and I am part of the "MB UnMod Team" :mischief2
May 26, 200323 yr Since this thread has degenerated into some comment card to be dropped in the box of Loria, I propose the following. Instead of throwing all this after Dunn, why not go for Delgado? A left handed bat with power (one of the better hitters in the game). We will have to pay for him though, maybe the BJays ( :lol ) can pick up some of the tab. Anyway, Lee, Castillo and Levinski for Delgado. We will have a powerful lineup to play out the rest of the year: Pierre A Gon Pudge Delgado Lowell Encarnacion LFer (H-worth, etc) Hooper (2B, or maybe Fox, etc.) P Just finding ways to keep in interesting...
May 26, 200323 yr Author first of all BJays? LMFAO :lol the only problem with Delgado is Carlos Delgado 1B TOR Signed Oct 2000 - 4 years/$68M 2001: $10.0M (+$4.8M signing bonus) 2002: $17.2M 2003: $17.5M 2004: $18.5M -Includes complete no-trade clause is he worth it?.. definitely....... and will the Blue Jays trade him only for DLee? more than likely..... again, if Loria wants him or if any team wants him, its pretty simple..... take his salary off the Blue Jays
May 26, 200323 yr I would much rather have Dunn than Delgado... Dunn is much younger, and better, and cheaper.
May 26, 200323 yr Author I would much rather have Dunn than Delgado... Dunn is much younger, and better, and cheaper. LMFAO better? you cant be serious..... Delgado is the man
May 26, 200323 yr to me i think Carlos is like one of the best hitters in the AL ( of course after A-Rod , Gimabi , etc )
May 26, 200323 yr o0o0o0o Carlos is an elite hitter, but look at what Dunn is accomplishing, and look at his age.
May 26, 200323 yr Author o0o0o0o Carlos is an elite hitter, but look at what Dunn is accomplishing, and look at his age. nothing close to Delgado. he may someday be a Delgado. but not now
May 26, 200323 yr delgado's salary was a product of the free spending ways of the late 90s.... entirely overpaid.
