musicians?

Featured Replies

anyone here one? ... if so what instrument do you play? and what are your influences? same if you consider yourself a singer.

Im a musician, I play bass, guitar, and I can somewhat defend myself with the trumpet and drums(not really but i'd like to think that I do)

:rock

I like to sing and I have sung before in the church choir for many years. I haven't done so in a long time though.

My inspirations? I think that if I would keep singing and plan on pursuing a career based on that, my inspirations would be Pat Benatar and Madonna.

I used to have a keyboard that I would play all the time. I was pretty good, but not a pro. If I could, I'd take piano lessons. I love playing the piano.

i am a singer. i love broadway and i sang in an opera company for a while. i also sing at mass every sunday at st. thomas university. i tried to teach myself guitar but only learned a few chords and lost the time to pick it up again.

I used to play the piano. I played it for 3 years then I stopped. I should started early because most people that were in my school were 3-4 years ahead of my group.

I took organ lessons for many years (not huge pipe organs, electric ones), and have also sung in many church/school groups. Right now, I am a member of the Colby College Chorale and the Colby Collegium Musicum, both as a tenor.

I listen to music, does that make me talented?

:confused

Yes, your talented in the ears. :D

Same here.

:D

I can play a few instruments decently, (piano, drums, bass, mandolin) but I'm I just hit a nice plateau in guitar after being stuck for awhile. Unfortunately I can't sing worth a lick, but I've played (guitar) in a few clubs around Gainesville and sang backup.

My biggest influences are Eliot Smith and Nick Drake. My current favorite genre is bluegrass/folk.

Two instruments I wish I could play...banjo (like Bela :D ) and the violin (my favorite instrument)

i play drums, 4+ years, i had a Tama drumset and my biggest influence is Tucker from the band Thursday. ..also MxPx, Offspring, Ataris

I tried to pick up electric guitar a few years ago but I was too lazy to practice and I don't really like rock music so I gave it up.
