Hanleylicious
The only memory I have of Williams is him punching the crap out of the dugout bench and shattering the wood in the NLDS.... ---- Another day game start for Penny, Not good... hope he can turn over a new leaf... MVPosey
Jerome has been pitching great after getting bombed in his first start. Plus the Giants bats are finally starting to come through, and the bullpen is finally getting it together. 5-2 Giants

QuickGold
Time for yet another Yahoo! Sports preview.... Jerome Williams hopes to win his fourth straight start as the San Francisco Giants begin a four-game series with the defending World Series champion Florida Marlins. After starting the season with a loss, the 22-year-old righty is 3-0 in his last three outings with a 2.95 ERA, allowing 17 hits over 21 1-3 innings while striking out 10 and walking four. In his last outing, a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, Williams allowed five hits, walked two and struck out five over 8 2-3 innings, falling one out shy of the third complete game of his career, and the first for the Giants this year. ``No doubt, it was pretty big for me to be able to go out there and pitch that game,'' said Williams, who is making his first start against the National League-leading Marlins. The Giants are coming off a 10-7 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. Michael Tucker homered and drove in two runs as San Francisco snapped a string of three straight series losses, winning for just the fourth time in 14 games. The Giants scored nine runs in the fourth inning as they reached double digits in runs for the first time this season. Barry Bonds went 1-for-3 with two intentional walks, and was the only Giants player without a hit until he singled to right in the eighth inning. The Marlins are coming off a 9-4 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on Wednesday. Alex Gonzalez, who was suspended three games Wednesday for his part in a brawl last week against Philadelphia, led off the fourth with his second homer of the season. Gonzalez will not begin serving the penalty until a hearing is held. Miguel Cabrera, Mike Lowell and Hee Seop Choi also homered for the Marlins, who took two of three from the Rockies. ``I tried to get my swing back,'' Gonzalez said. ``We've got four games left on the road to try to help on offense and defense.'' After going 10 games without a homer, Cabrera went deep in all three games at hitter-friendly Coors Field. ``I seem to be swinging the bat really good right now,'' Cabrera said. ``I'm seeing the ball very good right now.''
