Lakers beat 'Wolves....or should I say the Refs screwed the Wolves.

Can't wait for another 4 game NBA Finals! :mad :

the East will put up a good fight

Lakers will have to play atleast 6

Agreed.

And it's going to be Detroit, the Pacers are done with O'Neal and Tinsley playing really hurt.

No way dude. The Pistons have no answer for the Lakers. Rasheed is not healthy, which is a huge loss.

While the world is watching the finals.

I will be enjoying this

It includes

1991 Finals, Game 5

1992 Finals, Game 1

1993 Finals, Game 6

1996 Finals, Game 6

1997 Finals, Game 5

1998 Finals, Game 6

All will be shown in their entirety. :hat

The Pistons should feel it a great accomplishment if they win one game. The Lakers will just abuse them.

But we all knew that the Eastern Conference was the JV league and had no chance before the season started anyway.

The NBA season is over now that the Lakers have won the West. The only thing left is the formality of actually playing the games. And from the way the NBA has scheduled things this year the finals should be over in, oh, September.

NBA = Crap.

Yeah man. Malone was riding KG's d*** tonight. And everytime Malone would get a foul called on him, Kobe would cry like a baby. I don't like the Lakers.

With that being said, the Pistons can't compete with the Lakers, and the reason isn't defense. It's the fact the Pistons will not be able to score enough to compete. Plus, it will take pretty much Sheed and Big Ben to stop Shaq, leaving Malone and Kobe in paradise to score points. It will be tough, but I think the Pistons can steal one game from the Lakers.

But, seeing that the media is all over the Lakers nuts, the headline will read something like "Lakers don't show up, Pistons win" or "Lakers play bad game, Pistons win"

I'm 95% sure that the Pistons could beat the Lakers.

They have a way better bench and their bench is consistent.

Billups HAS to show up if they'regonna win. He's much quicker than Payton so he can take him off the dribble and knock in some threes.

Sheed at the three point line will make Malone and Shaq come out leaving the lanes open for some Piston slashing. Mainly Rip Hamilton. If they don't step out, Sheed could drain those threes. He has before and he will again. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Despite the fact that Rasheed talks a lot of s***, he's a gamer. He will take it to the next level and try his best to win. His back might take some of that away but luckily Malone is not the Lakers go to guy.

I guarantee Malone and Kobe won't get those little easy lay-ups with Prince, Sheed, and Ben hovering around the basket. Ben Wallace has a huge intimidation factor. Anbd luckily for him, Shaq isn't gonna try and pump fakes outside the paint so he isn't gonna get faked outta his shoes like he always does.

Easier said than done but I think Detroit has the best chance to beat the Lakers.

Shaq > Ben Wallace

Payton > Billups

Kobe > Rip

Malone= Rashweed

Detroit is at least a year and a point guard away from competing.

Don't get me wrong, I have alweays hated the Lakers, and even more so now with them going out and buying a championship with Malone/Payton.

But like I said before, we all knew long, long ago that the East sucks badly.

No way Payton is better than Billups. Not right now. Payton can barely score for the Lakers.

And I hate that whole ">" thing because it's not like Rip is a bad player. Kobe is better all around but Rip could still hang.

And Prince is better than any SF the Lakers throw at Detroit. Remember, Detroit is a very physical team and I don't know if the Lakers want that. They haven't really faced a physical team in the play-offs yet.

I wish the Pacers wouldn't be so beat up.

It woulda been fun watching O'Neal vs O'Neal and Reggie and Kobe going at it for the ring. Plus the Pacers woulda had homecourt so that would be even better.

But oh well what can ya do

Well Prince > George

And yes, I believe I would rather have Billups than Payton nowadays.

Oh joy. :confused

yeah of course the Lakers have the advantage here

hopefully the Pistons can advance and lets be honest if you wanted anyone that could sorta stop shaq I would put Ben Wallace there ... and its not like Rasheed is that bad of a defender.... IMO those two can at least contain him

Pistons will put up a fight and with some luck they can take it from the Lakers.

If indiana goes it will be a 4-1 series

The Pistons need are a point guard away? Hello!? Billups is a top 6 PG and one of the best scoring points in the game.

The Pistons MUST win game 1 or 2 in L.A if they want to compete in this thing.

The Lakers can count themselves lucky that Sam Cassell was injured for most of this series.

Agreed. Cassell would have made a HUGE difference in those last three games.

I would have LOVED to see a wolves/pistons series.

Same here.

Detroit probably would have ended the East's drought.

I would have LOVED to see a wolves/pistons series.

But the NBA would rather eat shards of glass than see a Wolves/Pistons series. About 7 people would watch it on TV.

Conspiracy, anyone?

I usually don't dip into the conspiracy theory thing, but a couple years ago when the Lakers beat the Kings in 7, the refs had to have had some sort of cash flow for the lakers to win. Had to have.

What about last night?

Im pretty sure Karl Malone could have gotten away from smacking KG upside the head a few times.... :thumbdown
