Best CF in baseball

Featured Replies

Beltran is by far the best all around CFer in baseball. Of course, if he ends up with the Yanks, I have the right to change my mind. :hat

Best=Carlos Beltran

Most Overrated=Jim Edmonds (even though I like the Cardinals)

hello? andruw jones by A TON.

no outfielder in baseball can get a jump as well as him. he's also got an absolute bazooka of an arm, complete with a set of crosshairs.

I had him as a close 2nd, although you make a very good case for him to be on the top of the list.

How quickly we forget about Mr. Garret Anderson.

More hits than anyone in the last 6 years, just because he sint a buffoon and does his talking on the field we forget about him.

The guy is a prototype ball player in that he does his job day in and day out as hard as he can.

Hits for power and average and wont hurt you in the clubhouse.

2nd: Junior Griffey.

Andruw Jones would be better if he weren't such a moron. He hot dogs it so much that he makes simple plays look spectacular. He never puts in more effort than the bare minimum and it looks like he's been losing range over the past couple of years, he's just not getting to some balls that he used to. Plus he's not the hitter Carlos Beltran is. The Braves have been waiting for him to take it the next level for 5 years now.

Carlos Beltran is a spoiled brat, but at least he cares.

I voted for Torii Hunter...this guy is sick in the field, or at least has been in the past couple of years. I think I would want him or Beltran on my team. Beltran is quick and can steal bases, and is great in the field. Toss up for me.

Oh, and where is Alex Sanchez?...bringing back the art of bunting :cool

Go here to see why Alex Sanchez is not even close. Kidding...

Give me a break...defensively....ANDRUW JONES!!

Offensively I gotta go with Ken Griffey Jr. he's the man

no f***ing way. jones does not have a great arm. its average at best.

beltran has an underrated glove. they have mentioned that in BBTN before.

if you put that with a threat to be a 40/40 guy?!?! its almost a FACT hes the best CF

The best player in Major League Baseball history, Ken Griffey Jr.

I strongly believe that Ken Griffey Junior in the mid to late 90's had the best stretch of all around play, offense and defense, for a 5 to 6 year period in the history of baseball for any player.

But to say he's the best player in Major League Baseball History is really stretching it.

Especially a leadoff. He doesn't take walks, his stolen base pct is horrible, and the only way he gets on is with bunts basically. I was kidding guys.
