should not be in the Marlin rotation right now.

shocking that he isnt sharp.

some of you really do need to learn and understand baseball.

there was no humane way that AJ would be sharp right out of the gate.

he should of been put in teh pen for a while or in the minors.

minors would have helped, too much pressure on a guy who isnt sharp and has no movement on his heater.

AJ's attitude is making this situation very difficult because you know if we had sent him to the bullpen he would have thrown a fit, and he definitely would've thrown a fit if they extended his rehab assignment. Hell, he threw a fit when they moved his start back one day.

tough s***.

check your ego at the door.

we did win a world championship without him doing a damn thing.

he isnt doing anyone any good being a little child. the marlins front office need to grow a sack and tell AJ how it is.

I agree, but I don't see it happening.

yeah I mean he is a good pitcher, but he just isnt ready yet. I think he needs more time because he isnt the way he was before.

I agree, but I don't see it happening. me either...but so far, DO has been better! :( This was to be expected, we need to be patient with the guy, he'll turn things around eventually. The question here is, do the Marlins have time to wait? can we afford it?

I agree, but I don't see it happening. I don't agree at all. It's only a matter of time until he becomes sharp, and if you put him in the pen you don't want him to physically or mentally grow into that role. His fastball DID have movement, and his curve was biting more than it wasn't. He needs a third pitch to offset the two.

Putting Burnett in the pen is idiotic.

BUt rushing him into a role he wasn't ready for, is brilliant?

I have said this for quite some time, way before this season. He was not going to be the same pitcher. What, did what happen to Kerry Wood after he came back slip through most of your heads?

Putting Burnett in the pen is idiotic. I was agreeing that the Front Office should put their foot down. I don't think he should be sent to the pen. I think they should've extended his rehab assignment.

Yes

Gee...I wonder where you got the idea for this thread from. If I was a mod...

You posted your thread one minute before Das, I highly doubt he saw your thead before his was posted.

Putting Burnett in the pen is idiotic. aj has gotten pretty much owned by the mets and indians.

he made one real rehab start.

after a year off....ya he was 'ready'

smart.

You have to do what you have to do.

He's not being rushed; everyone is comfortable right now. He just needs to get his starts in and get a little command back. After this start, consider it five rehab starts. His next start is A.J.'s debut IMO.

The question here is, do the Marlins have time to wait? can we afford it?

Yes We are on top of the division-we dont need AJ. (atleast yet)

We are doing fine with him, so if he cant get the job done than he dosent deserve to pitch. We dont NEED him to pitch.

Why not?

Why not? b/c nobody truly gives a damn about simulated games.

everyone hates them.

AJ should of made at elast 2 more starts in AAA.

even prior made what 3 real starts in the minors? and he was only out for 2 months.

So then you'd agree with this?

Which I stated just 10 minutes ago. Let's expect something reasonable from A.J. five days from now.

I'd like to see Das back up his statements once in a while without insulting other people and just saying stuff like "Who cares" and "Right."

I agree. I know what you mean.
