Are we really ready to breakup the best double-play combo in baseball when we can simply upgrade our offense at another expendable position. I think we should go after a Left Fielder, unless their interested in Choi which was mentioned in the article, first base is an easy position to fill afterall.

well here is the link....

Any thoughts?

NOT HAPPENING

Marlins are on a budget...do you really think they would even think about going after Nomah? :mischief

Umm... yea? Our projected pre-season budget: $60 Million. Our final budget: $52.5 Million. Like everyone said before the season, he was saving some money for the deadline. If the prospects are right, he'll find some cash.

No to Nomar rumor: On Sunday, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria put an emphatic end to rumors coming out of Boston that Nomar Garciaparra could become a Marlin in exchange for pitcher Carl Pavano.

Asked if there was any validity to the radio reports, Loria said: "Not happening, period. Not happening, period. Not happening, exclamation point."

if the marlins really wanted a rentel player they could have gotten beltran for less

Or if we had money to spend could have just signed Vlad in the offseason

f*** Pudge, don't regret that at all

Besides, with Pudge, Niner is still struggling in left, Miguel is still dancing in right field, and the pen still sucks. The only one of those problems that stays with Vlad is the pen.

Loria said no to trading Pavano. I think Penny is up for grabs.

Penny for Varitek and Lowe?

I definitly think trading a starting pitch is a possibility.
