sheff#1
Its been reported malone has said he plans on playin next year. he was asked who he wanted to play with shaq or kobe and wasnt sure yet. riley has been saidto want to aquire more help at the 4 position. if malone decides to join shaq,we would be able to use our mid level exception land him. C Shaq PF Malone SF R.Butler SG Jones PG Wade :drool
Steroid
i dont like rasual at SF for some reason i always thought of him as a SG i just dont think hes strong enough to be forward... now that we have shaq we lack size at the forward positions

FishFan19
I don't think it would require the MLE probably a lot less, here's a quote from Malone I think he would love to play w/ Shaq again. It appears unlikely Malone will return to the Lakers, even if Bryant re-signs with them. When free agency came for Bryant and a trade loomed for O'Neal, Malone pledged not to choose between them. So, he mulls retirement some days, the Spurs on others, and other teams still call, his options growing by the day. "It's very disheartening," Malone said. "Shaq was without a doubt ? and I didn't know Kobe ? Shaq was the main reason I came here. Now they traded him. They didn't talk to me about what I thought about it, if I was coming back. I'm very disappointed it would happen like that. "If I was to come back, I'd look at those guys as my teammates. I'd go to war with them every night. I came here for a particular reason, though. It's been snatched away from me. Not only did [the Lakers] not talk about it with me, the information I got was from TV and newspapers. I mean, not to disrespect Grant and Odom and all those guys, but you're not going to replace Shaq."
Shaq-Man
initially, id be against this because he's going under the knife and theres a lot of talk that he could be done. but since he would, in all likelihood, only snag a 1-year deal, i dont think it would be too much of a gamble. i dunno...im torn on this one. Steroid
does riley think rasual is ready for the 3? i like eddie at 2 i just dont think rasual has enough size for 3 for some reason.... we dont have a true backup 1 either do we

Steroid
i see what you are saying i dont mind wade at 1 now that odom and grant and caron are gone we have absolutely no size besides shaq i would like to see haslem start i guess
Shaq-Man
the lakers never really ran a PG all the time b4 payton got there. 453902[/snapback] good point, tho its a little different because the triangle is designed to work without a true PG. AJxAcex34
i wish we would have traded dorrell wright instead of caron, because i would have like to have kept more of the nucleus and chemistry... and if anyone went to any of the big games or playoff games last year they all got along and liked each so it sucks that caron and lamar wont win the nba champ. with wade

Das Texan
but why would karl want ot come to miami? notice what team is actually mentioned as pickign up karl, the evil incarnate. i hope karl ends his career ringless....but i also think some of you are thinking shaq almost guarantees you a title. remember shaq hasnt exactly been in the best shape of his career...and stan van gundy is no phil jackson in terms of motivating shaq. AJB34
phil jackson is a con man. i never liked him. hes the most overrated coach ever. wow hes won so many championships. look at what hes had! jordan oneal and kobe. and its not like he built the teams, he just went where the party was and took credit for it. Shaq once also said the day phil isnt his coach is the day he retires. u beleive that now? cut the crap already das. the heat will own ur spurs now. stop the hating. were not saying its an instant title.but its as close as anyone else in the league right now. and why would malone come here? well cause hes mentioned following shaq and has expressed his anger with the lakers for not letting him know shaq was getting traded.
