July 19, 200421 yr Is this offense or defense? (by the looks of it, it looks like offense) Either way it's STL so it doesn't really matter I guess.
July 19, 200421 yr Texas then St. louis. Not trying to knock Rolen and Pujols but Renteria is overrated plus I think Texas's infield has done more to make them better. Of course The Cards are not as great as they are without their infield but gotta go with Texas.
July 20, 200421 yr Offense: neck and neck, but I'd give a slight nod to Texas. Defense: St. Louis by a mile.
July 20, 200421 yr i'd go with the consensus so far. st louis by miles defensively. texas and st louis battling offensively.
July 20, 200421 yr Gotta go with the young'ns in Texas. They still got plenty of potential and all 4 of them are above average offensively at their respective position. Compared to St. Louis where Rolen, Renteria have reached their maximum potential and Womack is having a lucky year. Defensively though is St. Louis by a marathon.
July 20, 200421 yr I'd build my team around Texas' infield, but I don't think there's any doubt that St. Louis' winninng is due, almost exclusively to Rolen and Pujols, so they get my vote.
July 20, 200421 yr Offensively: The Rangers. C'mon, the oldest guy is what, 28-years-old? Texiera is a super-star in the making. Soriano, no explanation needed. Young can do it all. And Blalock is going to be just as good as Texiera IMO (and both are/will be better than Soriano). Defensively: On this list, St. Louis. Out of anyone, Florida. I mean c'mon, Choi has been more than solid all year long, Castillo is a bonafide gold glove winner, Gonzalez is gonna get his first GG this year (there should be no arguement there), and Lowell has finished second only to Rolen two years straight for the gold glove. Give me another team in baseball that can match that, and I'll give you $100.
July 20, 200421 yr yea Jack Wilson, Kahlil Green and Cesar Izturis dont have an argument for SS :plain
