    surprisingly, he hasn't been bad at all with the bat. someone mentioned in the game thread that alex was tied for the NL lead for RBI among shortstops.

     

    that's a great stat and says a lot about the pop in his bat, OBP troubles aside.

     

    i ragged the guy like crazy at the beginning of the season, but man has he performed in both aspects of his game lately.

    His defense was outstanding. The one where he went deep in the hole, turned and threw and nailed the runner on one hop was off the hook. Everyone thought he was safe and the chorus of boos after he was called out was music to my ears. :lol
