Best Player in the deal

Featured Replies

who's the best player in the deal we just got. I think that Guillermo Mota is by far the best player we got, he's downright sick, but i think lo duca might be a little bit more beneficial than him, it should be close.

as for enc, well, you gotta hope a return to FLA helps him

He'll be better, it's just that shoulder that's slowed his bat down lately, but that should get behind him by now.

Mota and it isn't even close

If Enc is a starter on this team I don't like our chances. Bring me Rob Mackowiak!

oh and Mota's definitely the best player we got in that deal. Although I don't think Lo Duca will be bad. I would've rather gotten a prospect from LA than Enc though.

Mota. He was a really good aquasition. We needed a good bullpen/stopper to give the ball to benitez while Fox is out.

Why can't Easley play first base most of the time and don't give me because of defensive reasons. In 10 games at first he has only made one glaring mistake that I can remmber, then Juan E can be on the bench, boosting that a little bit.

I dont think so. Maybe they are the same. Fox is a very good reliever and has gotten big key outs for us and consistant.

Mota without a doubt. With him and Benitez at the end every game is a done deal when he a lead heading to the eight, now we dont only have the one of the best if not the best close in baseball this year but also the best setup man thats awsome.

And next year when armando walks we'll still have a great pen with Mota and Spooney and who knows maybe koch will come back and sign for about 800,000 or something like that.

Easley would be better than Enc, but I would still like to get a guy like Rob Mackowiak because then we could platoon him with Cordero when he comes back in the outfield. I just don't see how Encarnacion serves a purpose on the team when we'll probably have 2 players who are better hitters on the bench when Cordero comes back.

it's close career wise, but mota is MUCH better in the past 2 years

Because he is not good enough to start. Let the good bench guy be a good bench guy instead of a bad starter. Just look at Redmond.

What he said.

Although he'll only pitch 30 innings.

I was watching the June 18th game of LA vs. the Yankees.. it was the largest crowd in LA history.. something like 90,000 in attendance and Mota was absolutely abusing the Yankees. Struck out Giambi, Sheffield and Posada in order and it wasn't even close.

my bad, i misinterpruted what the annoucers said.. the crowd was 55,000.. largest regular season crowd in dodger history.. i got the 90,000 when they said 93,000 at the LA Colliseum for a preseason game vs. the yankees some time ago.

anyway

Well, Mota, LoDuca and Encar.

I like Juan though. He'll proove to be a valuable asset to the team like last year. 95 ribbies is nice.

plus we got some speed back, Encarnacion can run.

If we get lucky, imagine next year we could have a back end of Benitez, Mota, and Spooney.

And that's IF Fox can't play anymore.

Anyone think we can fit 90,000 at the pro if we REALLLY tried hard?

You fill every single seat in that stadium and you'll probably get 80,000, and i dont think that standing room can hold 10K
