sit back and laugh

Featured Replies

baseball games like these you just have to sit back and laugh

it wasnt really that we played so bad, we scored 6 runs, 10 hits

we got some bad breaks

we cant win the WS every year i guess

this game summed up our season

but our season turns around tomorrow.... I promise :plain

I love just being big league. It is something you can never get sick of. The big league ballparks, opponents, the call on TV or Radio, the spring invasion, the fall playoffs, the long summer nights....it's as American as apple pie.

yes, it really did sum up our season

what kills me is how hard cabrera hit those 2 balls to RF, not 1 but 2, for outs

if someone told me the marlins suck it wouldnt really get to me, cause it isnt true

I cant sit back and laugh sorry..

we are losing to much ground on the Braves and Padres to be laughing this late into the season.

its just not our year man

dont lose sleep over it

I'm kinda wishing now we hadn't swept the Phils, if that hadn't happened maybe Beinfest could've at least salvaged our future instead of destroying it on what is most likely a lost cause.

haha with a load in his pants

This thread is so true. A game like tonight you just feel like the baseball Gods were against us. Aside from the 2 Conine errors in that one inning, we just got hit was some really bad luck. Broken bat singles, bloop singles, etc.... That's how it goes when a team is struggling.

Whatever. We're the defending World Champions. Only one team all year can say that. That's what keeps me smiling.

The keys to the loss were the errors by Conine, lack of range by Cabrera and all the seeing eye balls that found holes. The D'Backs really caught a bunch of breaks tonight....but what else is new....it seems to happen against the Marlins on a regular basis.

I find it kinda ironic how everyone said our defense had improved so much. Choi wouldn't have made those 2 errors by Conine, and Conine probably could've made a couple of those plays in left that dropped in on Cabrera.

I wonder if we'll start to see Cabrera at first base. He was a good fielding third baseman, I don't see why he wouldn't do just as well on the other side of the infield.

So true. And I'm not dissing Encarnacion, but several balls were just out of his reach as well (balls that would have easily rolled to the wall as Cabrera would have been 4-5 steps away from them).

Do y'all think that AdminWalker sold his house in Denver and is coming to Florida so he can play for the Marlins? Or is he retiring?

The last thing we need is Admin Walker at this point. Let's get to about 3 games back for a playoff spot, then we can start talking about Admin Walker.

Forget about Walker. It's too late. No sense depleting our system any further.

Here is the truth as told by CapeFish

1) Our pitching has been less than marginal since May.

2) The offense continues to develop confidence.

3) The bullpen is a bipolar case.

4) The defense is stellar some plays, others they completely blow, but with so many shifts who can blame them too much.

5) Benitez has been stellar.

6) Mota was stellar tonight.

7) Beckett had his hook working tonight...very good for his next start.

8) We don't play many last place teams over the next 2 months.

9) Beinfest has the team in position for maximum flexibility in the offseason.
