I think the Beatles is an incredibly lame name...fortunately the band was good, so it made up for it.

 

I think Lynyrd Skynyrd has a hilarious origin to their name...

 

Pink Floyd is a cool name. Guns 'n Roses is cool too.

 

The all-time best though...is: Mudvayne :plain

 

if you don't know what a mudvayne is....think about it...we all got one

Public Enemy, red hot chilli peppers, NWA, nirvana, and gang starr are pretty cool.
