October 9, 200422 yr What another great Bush quote. "....on the internets." Ahh! He just said "pennishula"
October 9, 200422 yr Author john kerry said idear. 586861 Bush said it too. They are in "Mizzur-uh", to put it in Bush's words.
October 9, 200422 yr john kerry has a lot of corny punch lines that he thinks will be memorable so did edwards.
October 9, 200422 yr Author john kerry has a lot of corny punch lines that he thinks will be memorable so did edwards. 586877 Bush just said "You can run, but you can't hide." Bush is putting on a comedy act. I think if they let him dress up as Bozo he would have.
October 9, 200422 yr Bush is doing much much better than the last debate though 586890 I would hope so :plain
October 9, 200422 yr Bush: I own a timber company? That's news to me! LOL yeah bush is doing better he is speaking more from the heart and isn't doing any funky facial expressions.
October 9, 200422 yr john kerry said idear. 586861 There's nothing wrong with saying "idear", many people with strong New England accents say idear and add an "rrrr" sound after many words that end with an A.
October 9, 200422 yr my history professor says mizz-ur-uh for "missouri". Wow, he slipped up and added an s....sometimes I say "is" instead of "are" or "who" instead of "whom" OMG OMG OMG! I'M SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!

LOL yeah bush is doing better he is speaking more from the heart and isn't doing any funky facial expressions. 586894 that was sort of an odd moment.... I thought kerry was saying bush could own a timber company as a hypothetical or an example or something, then bush just stood there in disbelief saying "So now I own a timber company??" then he just stood there dumbfounded for a few moments and then asked Charlie Gibson with a smirk if he'd "like some wood." :plain

I think he got caught up in people laughing at his first joke that he felt compelled to follow up...not very well. But we've all done it..not on a national scene..but Ive done it.

October 9, 200422 yr Didn't Bush also say something like "Wow, that makes me want to scowl"--- a real joker there. And "the internets" made ME laugh.
October 9, 200422 yr Funniest part of the debate for me was when Bush tried to bring up the Dred Scott case (argued in a St. Louis courtroom) to show what kind of judges he would assign. I was a little confused...so hes not going to bring in judges that are pro-slavery? uh-huh. The best part of the debate for me was Kerry's theme of relating everything to the ACTUAL people in the townhall. He kept citing data specifically to Missouri and St. Louis while Bush only mentioned Mizzureh (sometimes I think he fakes his accent) in reference to the Dred Scott case (I think).
October 9, 200422 yr another thing that I thought I heard and a friend of mine confirmed: "The truth of that matter is, if you listen carefully, Saddam would still be in power if he were the president of the United States, And the world would be a lot better off.? I agree Mr. Bush.
