Also the other team in their city has a worse "curse" if you will so that is going to over shadow the whitesox. October 13, 200421 yr Here's the reason: 1. Cubs fans suck. They're a bunch of druken frat boys or stupid whiners who are identified by futility. If they won a lot, they'd lose their identity. After all, the whole "root root root for the Cubbies" started because everyone loves the underdog. 2. Red Sox fans suck even more. They bitch about the Yankees spending when they themselves are just as guilty. Even worse, they have less homegrown talent than the Yankees on their roster (and Schilling DOES NOT count), and they complain mercilessly about the Yankees "hired guns." 3. White Sox fans are generally apathetic. They don't bemoan their existence, they're pretty solid "baseball fans" and they play in a market dominated by their uptown cousin. Personally, I'd watch a game with a White Sox fan before a Cubs or Red Sox fan.
October 13, 200421 yr I think what rubs people the wrong way about Cub and Red Sox fans is the fact that they all walk around acting like they are better than everyone else and that they are ENTITLED to win the World Series, when in fact neither has won squat in a century. Cub fans are especially annoying because I think this is the first time in 30 some years that they even had 2 winning seasons in a row and their fandumb acts like they were 162-0 for the past 129 years. Cubs, you made the playoffs ONCE this century, you're no better than anyone else.
