October 15, 200421 yr *waits for some kind of snide remark* anyway my parents are friends of friends of the President and those friends are having the President over for dinner on Monday night..... it's a $50,000 per plate dinner but those friends asked my dad to take pictures of the event(no, my dad is not a photographer, just does it on the side) anyway, assuming he gets clearance(which I am sure he would get), he will get to meet the President that is all :thumbup

October 15, 200421 yr Well, at this point both candidates have relinquished personal campaign advertising funds and are using public financing for the stretch run, so I couldn't see how the money could go to the campaign, at least directly. Also, I don't know how donations over $2,000 to a campaign would be permitted, either. Perhaps this money goes to the post-election legal fund...or maybe charity.

At the time I had no political opinion, so it was really awesome to meet THE PRESIDENT, he is a really cool, calm guy. I would love to meet President Bush, but my cousin would rather die than work for him, or the Republicans.
