RESPECT

Featured Replies

that's all I gotta say. I've never seen a team with this much heart. This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in baseball in my lifetime, and I will probably never see anything this amazing.

All i gotta say is RESPECT

The Sox definitely do deserve all the respect they can get. LeBatard said today on the radio, people are going to say, "Oh the Yankees just choked." The Sox deserve to get their props. The played their butts off and they have the have the AL title to show for it.

I remember a team that did something familiar

The sox deserve a lot of credit, most amazing comeback i've ever seen.

Now let's see if they can win 4 more and break "the curse" forever.

there is a big difference between this and what the Marlins did against the Cubs last year

1. There is a huge difference between coming down from 3-1 and coming down from 3-0

2. It was the Red Sox against the Yankees, who had the burden of the curse of the bambino, as well as memories of 03, 99, and whatever year the Bucky Dent homer was

3. 135 years of professional baseball, and this was the first time it's ever happened

Don't get me wrong, what the Marlins did last year was pretty impressive, but it's nothing compared to this

I never said it was the same thing.

Give us our due though.

I've never seen a team with this much heart.

Uhm I have.

It's amazing how quickly people just forget about the entire 2003 season. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when we're a small-medium market team with a very small diehard fanbase but to just forget about it when you're on a Marlins fansite is unacceptable.

i have given you guys your due. You guys earned it and deserved it.

It took a lot of heart, yes, but they shouldn't have ever gotten down 3-0. They're a better team than the Yankees.

The Yankees should be ashamed of that $60 million pile of crap they call a pitching staff. Good business my ass.

Yea its not the same thing...but at least people actually picked the Sox to win the series....NOBODY except the Marlins' fans thought they could win it. The Sox were supposed to win this series. The Marlins werent supposed to win anything!....but they did.

The Yankees didn't have Mark Prior and Kerry Wood starting games 6 and 7.

Yeah, I was gonna say. You can talk about history and all that. And coming back from down 3-0 is pretty amazing in any situation.

But NOBODY thought the Marlins had a chance in hell at coming back from 3-1 against Prior and Wood in Chicago. When the Red Sox got to 3-1, people were already discussing comeback like it was a real possibility.

I remember a team that did something familiar without having an enourmous payroll. :mischief
