Jason Grilli, who had been rehabbing at Single-A Jupiter, has been added to Triple-A Albuquerque's roster.

Grilli had a 2.53 ERA in seven starts after returning from Tommy John surgery. If he pitches well in Triple-A, he might join the Marlins as a middle reliever at some point. Source: Albuquerque Tribune

I saw him pitch a couple of times with Jupiter and he looked GOOD!! His last start was 7 innings 2 hits 0 walks and 7ks. His fastball was around 91-92.

Thats good I like Grilli. i think you have to leave him in AAA at least for 1 month then if he has good stats call him up.

Nice to see Grilli is not quiting on his dream. He would be a good long guy for the fish. :thumbup

Yup. The marlins could also then send down Tejera is dosent stop messing up.

i saw his very 1st major league game against the Braves....

i hope he makes a return soon

I only saw him pitch one game against the Braves and pitched very well. Don't know if it was a fluke or not but I could see him helping us as a spot starter or in long relief.

I dont think Grilli was a fluke. I hope he stays healthy, becuase he could help this team.

He could also help AJ in his return.

Bump is going to be send down when Spooney comes back.

Spooney wont back back for a while(he cant throw a ball for 2 weeks)

I know but he could be back in a month. What about Allen being send down for Grilli?

Unless the team makes the deal I suggested with reds getting, Heredia, Almanza is not going anywhere.

he has not being playing well lately, but if you dont think Tejera deserves to go down then who will. Oh i know send down Tejera Grilli could do all the things he can do.

Opponents are batting .333 against Levrault and he is giving up over 12 hits per nine innings. Only Nunez, Neal, Olsen and Wayne are worse

i do think Tejera should go down

reread your post Burnett, you have Tejera twice

I know. I was writing and then I thought of a good reason why he should go down.

Yea Grilli had pitched well with us when he made his debut i think it was in 2000 or 2001. He has good stuff but had elbow problems and had to leave. I hope he rehabs well and comes up be in the bullpen. We need help there with Almanza struggling.

Grilli has about as much a chance of pitching for the Marlins this year as my nine year old kid. The Isotope's pitchers have just gotten crushed for the third or fourth straight game. THEY ARE DESPERATE for pitching. That's the only reason for the promotion.

The kid is all HEART and unfortunately, NO ARM.

He trows 91-92 Marlins2003 thats good enough for me. He was just rehabbing in single A ramp. He finished he's rehabb so now he's back in AAA. I dont think the marlins care if their minor leage team is losing games.

Ramp didnt say anything

I'm not going to bother to post the whole article, its at the 'Topes website, but here's the lead -

'Topes Pitchers Get Battered For Third Straight Night, 11-8

Albuquerque fell into an early hole for the third straight night in losing to the Omaha Royals 11-8 in front of 5,474 fans at Isotopes Park on Wednesday night..."

Now you know why Grilli got a promotion. He's just more fodder for PCL hitters. :teach
