We had a tough time for my 40th birthday cruise on Royal, and all the groups we've done on Carnival have been great....Just my humble opinion...

Carnival Corp recently bought Princess. They also own Holland America, Costa, Cunard, Windstar, and Seabourn. And theres a reson Carnival is #1 in the world :thumbup
November 6, 200421 yr Carnival didn't buy Royal Caribbean. The last deal I heard about was Carnival buying Princess. As for the groups... I don't know what to tell ya. I work in the I.T department, and all I can tell ya is that they make us bend over backwards to get groups whatever they want as far as technical needs go (internet access, teleconferencing from the conference rooms, etc...). I honestly don't care what cruise line people choose. Our 28 ships sell out every single time, as I'm sure Carnival's do, but I've also never talked to anyone that has sailed on both cruise lines that would prefer Carnival over Royal. Unless they're just saying that to be nice.... :confused I also remember a few cruises that the Marlins have taken on Royal. I remember meeting Brian Meadows and Matt Mantei on one of them.. Another sailing, I remember seeing Dave Berg and Bruce Aven... Then there was some overnight dinner the Marlins had where Alex Fernandez and Tony Perez were on. Can't remember when that one was.
November 8, 200421 yr Author well i got back from the cruise about 10am and i had a great time. Lenny wasn't the pimp at all, all i saw him do was play craps at the casino. The true pimp was Chris Aguila this guy had a girl every different night. they were drop dead gorgeous girls. Chris was the coolest we hung out a couple times he bought me some drinks and stuff like that, he was really down to earth. Mike redmond was cool, but he was with his family so i didn't bother him to much same with Matt Perisho. Last night a group of us stayed up till 5am with Jeff Cox (third base coach) he was schooling me on baseball and a bunch of other stuff. I asked him who is the biggest a**hole on the team, he said with out a doubt Josh beckett, he calls him the Village Idiot. He also said that Miguel Cabrera hasn't reach his potential yet. if you guys have any questions let me know.

All I hear about Carnival is that the ships are dirty and it's just a party atmosphere...nothing wrong with that, but Royal is for all kinds of people, not just people looking to go out and get drunk for a few days.
