Trevor Hoffman, an original member of the inaugural Marlins squad is also a free agent and the Padres have an option for him, not sure if they're going to exercise it or not. Go get 'em Beinfest.

Steve may be a "punk" to most but I loved him in St Louis. He was a big part to the Cards success this year. I'll miss him.. I just want him to go to a team I can actually like him on.. November 12, 200421 yr Hoffman isn't going anywhere. He had a good season this year. Steve Kline was hurt badly and didn't play in the playoffs for the Cardinals. I'd rather get Chris Hammond or Rheal Cormier.

November 19, 200421 yr Meh, I would rather Chris Hammond back in teal. He had a nice 2004 but he generally chokes more at home. He still has some left in the tank.
