November 14, 200421 yr its just this one guys opinion also, he thinks our 2B is Jose Castillo he is smart
November 14, 200421 yr Millwood has had a knack of helping us out in recent years. Might as well join the team. :mischief
November 14, 200421 yr He also shows Pavano going to the Phillies   :lol 614565 That is not far-fetched.
November 14, 200421 yr There's a simply explanation for this. This guy thinks Millwood is coming to the Marlins, which could mean one thing: That guy is a squirrel.
November 15, 200421 yr He also shows Pavano going to the Phillies   :lol 614565 I actually said that a while back ... it would make sense for the phills :o
November 15, 200421 yr He loses all credibility with his Jose Castillo thing... 614610 I totally agree.
November 15, 200421 yr Just one one of those stupid media choices that really say "hey I didn't spend one second analyzing the Marlins needs and I've got this guy no one else wants so I'll kill two birds with one stone" things that Marlins fans are all too used to. Consider for a moment friends the image of Scott Boras trying to convince the Marlins FO to take Kevin Millwood... From a rcent SI article: "As you read this, Brian Cashman is charging his ninth cell-phone battery of the day. Scott Boras is putting the finishing touches on a PowerPoint presentation that proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Kevin Millwood is a better pitcher than Sandy Koufax. " Hmm, only $11 million for Millwood...lolololololololololol
November 15, 200421 yr He mistakened our Second Basemen....this guy isnt so smart We will pick up a solid starter in my opinion though so maybe it could be Millwood. I wouldnt mine Woody Williams either.
November 15, 200421 yr Espn has Delagdo in the teal and black, will never happen. 614631 Probably not, but I for one thought that of all the big name acquisitions this made the most sense in regards to coming to the Fish. It's not far-fetched, he represents what the Fish need mostly, he is coming off a bad season for his standards and won't command as much had his walk year been the year before. Wouldn't have surprised had Beinfest bought cheap, brought him in for a year like he did with Benitez and Pudge and hope that Delgado tries to maximize his market value by having a great season.
November 15, 200421 yr After I found out he cant keep players names straight, his word counts for nothing.

Next year we free up the 10 million we pay Pudge and Hampton. I still think we should go after someone, via free agency or trade who we can get for a few years.
November 15, 200421 yr if delgado signed with us, his contract would look something like this: 2005: .02 cents 2006: 1,987,546,321 dollars
November 15, 200421 yr He makes a great point here. After accounting for the raises due to Paul Lo Duca and Guillermo Mota, the Marlins might not have much more than $10 million available to re-sign Carl Pavano and Armando Benitez or bring in replacements. It’s probably going to be the latter. Pavano could get $34 million-$36 million over four years, and Benitez will want at least $5 million per season. The Marlins could just stick Mota in the closer’s role, but they’ll still need to bring in some quality relievers. Todd Jones, Chris Hammond, Jeff Nelson, Elmer Dessens and Jay Witasick are a few of the names they’ll look at. Kevin Millwood, Woody Williams and Jon Lieber could be recruited to replace Pavano. They’ll also look for a cheap veteran fifth starter. With few youngsters ready to contribute, the Marlins should be about as active as any team in handing out NRIs this winter. I'm really interested in how Beinfest will fill these spots. Please no Lenny Harris, please!

Prediction: Marlins. Comment: Remains a monster at the plate. Had 99 RBI (in 128 games) in '04, amazingly his lowest season-ending total since 1997.
