Pedro loses it after 100 pitches, who knows what you can expect from beckett (injuries) and burnett (elbow). And while willis has some great outings, he also has some where he's yanked after 4 innings. Lots of upside, but we still need a bullpen.

Pedro's courting other teams shows, at least to me, that he's sincere about wanting out of Boston...he's always been offering ultimatums to that team for as long as he's been there. He's earned the right to have that attitude because he carried them through the last 4 seasons, but he's obviously had enough with that city and the media pressure, and the American League. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if Pedro's as happy as he claims with all his money (remember his "mango tree?"), we are the #1 for his services because we offer him everything else he could want. No way could we exceed what the Red Sox have offered, but the Yankees aren't expected to aggressively pursue Pedro. The baseball people for the Yankees don't want to get older with their rotation, that's why they've targeted Pavano and Milton, leaving Leiter and older guys as plan C. Go for it Beinfest.
