Who should get the last BCS bid

Featured Replies

Texas in my mind, I watched Cal again tonight for the third time this season I think and I have not been wowed by them at all.

Texas looked very good in a few games I saw, just not in the OU game, but I don't think Cal would have much better success against OU.

Granted, I am a Vince Young fan, so be that as it may. I used to be a Seneca Wallace fan :shifty

Cal should be in. There only lost was on the road that went down to the final play against the best team in the nation.

Cal, but really this is like apples and oranges, and I won't be angry if either team gets it, but I feel awfully bad for the team that gets left out.

There shouldn't be a discussion though. How the hell does Pitt, Utah, and Virginia Tech get in ahead of these two teams?

They need to take away the automatic bid from the big east.

Um...West Virgina isnt in.

and Utah is undefeated geinus.

also...

Oklahoma is just as good as USC....Texas also lost to OU at a neutral site in a close game.

How is Michigan going to a BCS Bowl over either of these teams?

Homer.

Texas also lost to OU at a neutral site in a close game.

Come on dude, OU dominated that game and you know it, I wouldn't say it was "close".....

12-0 is a close game.

A loss is a loss....what can you do. Thats the same amount of losses as California.

And California played 2 ranked teams(at time of game) this year. They went 1-1.

Texas played 5. They went 4-1.

Texas is a better team. California should be in a BCS bowl, but they played a much easier schedule.

You know what I meant, Virginia Tech

If Utah was in the Pac 10, Big 10, SEC, or Big 12, they would be in the lower tier. And learn how to spell genius

Oklahoma dominated, and shut out Texas. Oklahoma outgained Texas 414-240. Cal took it to the final play and outgained USC 424- 205. Not to mention SC was fired up because of their loss to Cal last year that caused the split championship.

How is Michigan going to a BCS Bowl over either of these teams?

because Michigan is the big 10 champions and the Rose bowl should always be Pac 10 vs. Big 10

THe tiebreaker is to look at who they lost to, and how they lost to them. Cal lost to a slightly better team but came a lot closer to beating them than Texas did.

Of course they'll give it to Texas because the BCS always screws over the Pac 10.

Cal, because I will be pissed if a Big 12 team is in the Rose Bowl.

Two years ago it should have been Iowa vs. Washington st, not Oklahoma vs. washington st.

No way Utah would be in the lower tier of the Pac-10, Big East, or Big 12.

Some people have probably not seen Utah play this year.

And they are idiots.

To argue that USC is a better team than Oklahoma by any margin at this point is in many ways silly.

this will be decided down in Miami early next year.

Bottom line....Texas should get in over Cal.

And yes its all about West Coast Bias....thats why the Pac 10 keeps getting the shaft.

I need to respond here.

The answer is quite simple, besides the fact that other than the Championship, the Pac 10 and Big 10 are always in the Rose Bowl:

Michigan is the champion of the best conference in college football.

Oh I understand that.

But for some homer to mention West Virginia...I mean Virginia Tech as not being deserving and not mentioning Michigan is just silly.

Now you could argue Pitt doesnt deserve to be there (they dont)

But Michigan and Virginia Tech do both deserve to get in a BCS bowl....just not over Cal or Texas.
