I had to endure 10 years of him as Giants manager, and the entire time having to listen to all these people talk about what a great guy he was and what a great manager, and slowly people started to see him for what he was: an ... and a mediocre manager. The he went to Chicago and BOOM his true self came out. When he was in SF, he got nothing but butt-kissing from the local media. Twice, TWICE in his entire 10 years in SF did anyone from any of the local papers criticize what he did, and what happened? He stopped talking to the media, and kept the newspaper clippings in his desk. Now what's he doing without that free ride from the media? The guys can't take criticism, and he can't manage. We lost the World Series in 2002 because of a series of awful moves, the ultimate won was him pulling Russ Ortiz. i really hate guy and I'll stop before this goes on too long because I can go on forever bashing him.

January 24, 200521 yr If he would complain less then people would actuallu listen to him when he complains. But since he always complains noone listens to him anymore. It's nice that he wants to protect his players but if he REALLY cared about his players then he would have said this right after it happened, not months after.
