July 12, 200322 yr who would have thought on a day when Jason Kidd and Alonzo Morning signed with the Nets, the Yankees and Bluejays played, and so did the D-Backs and Giants. That the Marlins would get the front page complete with picture of Penny argueing with The ump. Not just did the Marlins make the page it was the Marlins vs. the Expos think back 2 years ago and remember how impossible this would have sounded. check it out for your self...maybe some national press.
July 12, 200322 yr Author quote from ESPN.com Urbina bolsters the Marlins' bullpen as they try to make a surprising push for the NL wild card. Florida entered the day two games above .500 and only 4? games out of a wild-card spot. now im insulted...i wasn't surprised.
July 12, 200322 yr yaaaaaaaaaaa my im drunk and i come home and log on espn .com than i saw my boy penny i was dawg is that penny i know thats penny and i look at em and boom DOn5tlere is named an all star UGGY is on our team and we railled to win 5-4 im sso happpppppppy i migh t just passssssss out on my keyboard again GO FUISSSSSSSSSH yo Ramp dawg, does tgus mean we bnot gettin A.Bentiez?
July 12, 200322 yr Odom, the only thing I was able to understand from your post was the following question: does this mean we are not getting Benitez? (I hope this is what you intended to ask). Of course we are not getting Benitez, why do we need him now for? He was way too expensive to begin with. I always said that Urbina was our cheaper and better choice. BTW, the Rangers are picking all but $500,000 from Urbina's $2.85 million salary. Isn't that nice? We just landed ourselves the saves leader in the AL for half a million... :thumbup
July 12, 200322 yr i think its awesome that we got front page on ESPN.com.....we deserve it...i mean watta day we've had, forget that..what a road trip we're having. I just hope we can continue this after the all-star break and keep kickin asss.! I predict a sweep of montreal..whos wit me???
July 12, 200322 yr such inteligent mumblings from odom. The sad thing is that he types that way even when he's sober. As for the Marlins.....I just got home...I left the house when we were down 3-4...glad to see we won. I watched the Marlins On Deck and found out about Urbina and Willis. I just watched SportsCenter, and that Tim Kurjikan fool said we lost too much in trading Adrian Gonzalez. Apparently he never heard of Jason Stokes. He can go screw himself. I'm sure glad that I dont care what those "experts" think. Their opinion is about as worthless as mine.
July 12, 200322 yr cheloxx with Big Red and DTrain pitching, I think a sweep is a good possibility. :thumbup
July 12, 200322 yr cheloxx with Big Red and DTrain pitching, I think a sweep is a good possibility. :thumbup A good possibility? I think it's an inevitability! :w00t
July 12, 200322 yr Tim K of Sportscenter is usually negative about everything..He is an a** to put down the Marlins about the trade and not making playoffs..Everything is going well for Florida (over .500, big game against Expos, Willis, Urbina) and this piece of crap tries to let the air out of the tires...At least wait until it looks like they are out of it before saying that stuff...
July 12, 200322 yr Well, I know our recent good friend Pettie Gammons will be on BBTN tonight, and he's jumping on the bandwagon...
July 12, 200322 yr I am glad we got Urbina, I am much more confident with him in there than Benitez. I wonder how this is going to affect Looper's performance - he has got to be feeling the heat and that is a good thing. But Benitez, good god, that guy is weak. It is funny how some of these moves change opinions in the media though...eat crow, that is all i have to say. We should all email Le Retard and Berardino and ask them how it tastes. :thumbup
July 12, 200322 yr We should all email Le Retard and Berardino and ask them how it tastes. :thumbup Mike would respond with some small-minded answer with an insut implied, but not said directly.

Loop will probably be unstoppable now, because he'll know that if he starts messing up he'll lose the closers role. Oh man, when Spooney comes back, our back three is going to actually be formidable.
July 12, 200322 yr Oh man, when Spooney comes back, our back three is going to actually be formidable. When Spooney come back, we might have th ebest back three in the NL...

Oh man, when Spooney comes back, our back three is going to actually be formidable. I was thinking that during last night's game, how Looper HAS to perform at the top of his game or he knows his job is in jeopardy, something that's never happened to him before. And yeah, in Spooney, UUU, and Loop, you've got three guys that could close on a bunch of teams. That just makes for a kick-a** ending to the ballgame.

July 12, 200322 yr When Spooney come back, we might have th ebest back three in the NL... This side of the Astros...it will be...
July 12, 200322 yr This side of the Astros...it will be... But we'll have 2 dominant set-up guys, and an awesome (unrecognized) closer. Who do the Astros have besides Dotel and Wagner?
July 12, 200322 yr But we'll have 2 dominant set-up guys, and an awesome (unrecognized) closer. Who do the Astros have besides Dotel and Wagner? Lidge
