They dont just feel like that, its the rule. The 7 backups have to consist of two guards, two forwards, one center, and two wild cards.

uhm ... stevie is in the west, not the east therefore Z didn't get picked over him

 

and both sides are mandated to pick a backup C

 

for the reserves they have to choose 2 Gs, 2 Fs, 1 C and 2 flex

 

for the west the C was stoudemire, the 2 Gs were allen & nash, the Fs were probably Dirk & Marion ... that left Ginobli & Rashard as the flexs ... given the success of their teams and the type of years they are having, i'd have both there over francis
