Fan Fest VIP ticket questions

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Got my VIP passes for Fan Fest today. Just curious, do you really get "extra" stuff and is it worth going.

I am just trying to avoid the disappointment we suffered last year. It was soo crowded and we had a terrible experience. We left with my son crying for 25 minutes. Don't have to bore you with details but wasn't going to go again to spare him this time.

I am probably going to go now that i have the VIP passes but was wondering what some of your experiences were using these in the past.

Thanks!

The VIP passes are cool because there are going to be alot of people in the public activities, however in the meetings there will only be season ticket holders. Also, you son might enjoy the chance to hit in the Marlin batting cages, another VIP perk.

You'll get plenty of autographs in the tunnel. Plus you get to see the press conferences. The tour of the press box, locker room, etc. are worth it too.

You should go. You won't be disappointed.

Should I use my VIP Privelages or should I wait on the actual autograph lines? I should be able to get autographs by same players, atleast the good ones, with my VIP Pass in the clubhouse?

I wouldn't waste my time in the autograph lines as there is a good chance you will see these guys, plus others, in the tunnel anyway.

I have the 20 game Saturday plan... do I get to go in the clubhouse, dugout, etc? or just the press confrence?

Thanks!

Tunnel is where? Is that basically underneath, where there are the cages etc?

The tunnel is the pathway below the stadium that goes all the way around. All of the rooms are on either side of it. It will be obvious once you get inside.

I actually have a good story about the tunnell. Earlier this year my dad bought first row tickets right next to the field box entrance. When the two ushers weren't paying attention, I slipped down and sat in row D. After about 5 minutes, I walked into the little room and went to the bathroom. When I came out, I walked into the tunnell. Right when I enter it, Doug Glanville is walking from the dugout to the clubhouse. I figured I'd be adventurous (worst they can do is bring me back to my seat, I mean, I'm a lost adolecent!) and walk around. I didn't dare enter the locker room, but kept going in the tunnell. I walked from the third baseline all the way around counter-clockwise until a security guard stopped me in center field (where is was completely empty, so he knew I wasn't supposed to be there). I was amazed at how low the security level was, but it was pretty awesome.

Can somebody please explain where exactly the tunnel is because I went last year and I had VIP tickets but only got Lorias autograph the whole day. Beckett and Redmond wouldnt sign for us.

It's what connects everything inside the stadium - the dugouts, the clubhouses, everything. I met Miguel last year there but I'm not really into autographs. Kid is huge.

I wonder who I'll bump into this year.

Tunnel is the best for autographs. I went last year and before and during the press conferences the players would be coming in and out of the little room they have for them that has like food and drinks for them. Stand by that door and u'll meet everyone. I wish i could help u on where in the tunnel but i get so lost in that thing but u'll see it.

When are the press conferences?

It says it on the VIP passes, on the back.

It seems as though it will be the same as last year, I mean even the tickets and the lineup of events are identical to last year. If you hated FanFest last year (which I did), then this year will be no different regardless of whether you had VIP passes, infact you should be expecting even more people to go this year.

There was a season ticket holder event about 1-2 months ago where you got to do everything that you get to do at FanFest with the VIP passes and a LOT more, we even got to go out onto the field, the dugouts, video room, press box, lockerrooms, players lounge, weight room, you got to hit in the batting cages, etc. etc. etc. There was a press conference/townhall meeting with Samson, Beinfest, JP, D-Train, McKeon, DVH, Dawson, etc. and you got to really talk to each of them individually it was a really great time.

If you went to this season ticket holder event, there's no point in going to FanFest even if you do have VIP passes, and if you've got a little kid that hated FanFest last year then it's probably best just to wait for the next exclusive season ticket holder event.

how crowded can the tunnel get? Will the players just be walking throughout? I really want to get autographs but would hate to go through the horrific autograph lines outside the stadium... I have VIP passes this year from a friend and would like to not have to go through the long lines to obtain some autographs, DTrain, JP, Delgado, Lowell etc.... Is it possible?

I am going to bring my camera :)

Hopefully the players let me take a pic with them :)

I dont care about the autograph, I just want a pic :lol

I'm interested in going to FanFest tommorrow, but what exactly is there to do there if you don't have a VIP pass?

I don't think I really want to stand in line for autographs, so aside from that, what can you do there? And where are most of the activities located? You do get to go and walk around the field, etc.?

Thanks.
