February 26, 200521 yr Author Pedro didn't come on until the 1997.. he shouldn't be on the list. When you think of the best pitchers of the 90's, these are the 4. ..and '95 Maddux is just as good as '99 Pedro.. What Maddux did in the long ball era with his style of pitching is unreal.
February 26, 200521 yr The one that was the ace of a staff that lead the Braves to a bajillion straight division titles.
February 26, 200521 yr List is too small. '99 Pedro was the best pitcher of the decade. 695708 hey homer.... one year decade. 96 Kevin Brown was probably best if you wanna look at one year and be a homer
February 26, 200521 yr List is too small. '99 Pedro was the best pitcher of the decade. 695708 hey homer.... one year decade. 96 Kevin Brown was probably best if you wanna look at one year and be a homer 695823 Im just saying his one year was better than anyone's... 23-4, 313 SOs, 2.07 ERA....plus what he did in the playoffs that year going 2-0 with a 0 ERA and a relief appearance was crazy. All Star MVP and the Cy Young as well. Those numbers pwn 17-11, 159 and 1.89 I dont think Pedro was the best...but in any year in the 90s, no pitcher was better than '99 Pedro. Of the four listed...it's Maddux by a wide margin.
February 26, 200521 yr Author '95 Maddux: 19-2, 1.63 ERA Some would argue that Randy Johnson had a better year than Pedro in '99 with 364 strikeouts.
February 26, 200521 yr His ERA is bigger and record not as gaudy... Pedro lost the 99 MVP by just 13 votes in 99 as well. :thumbup
February 28, 200521 yr Pedro needed to be on that list. From 1997-2003 Pedro was by far the best pitcher in baseball. Statistics don't lie. This guy's career ERA is 2.7 or something (maybe even lower).
