Posted March 9, 200519 yr comment_447880 Just decided to post this little anecdote. Miguel Cabrera is coming down to my building this afternoon. I met him along with his father, wife and agent last time he was down here. Hopefully I'll be able to slip out of my office again and chill with him for a little bit. His lawyer knows me so Im going to try to contact her and see what theyre up to. Since i met him last time I dont have an excuse to tell my supervisor this time, but ill see what i do. It was my job to escort the group around the building to where they had to go. I spoke mostly with his agent and his attorney, small tlak mostly. i told them how much everyone in miami loves the marlins and how we're all rooting for cabrera to have an awesome year. Cabrera is a shy dude and didnt talk to anyone aside from his attorney. In fact he didnt even talk to his wife, who was here as well. (So i couldnt mention the babiis) . Last time he came down to the building he gave me an autographed ball, but this time they didnt have stuff to give out. So Overall it was pretty cool. I'm in miami, so its about an hour and a half or 2 hours to jupiter, and thats not counting the severe afternoon traffic coming out of miami.
