JUPITER ? The Florida Marlins today announced the following roster moves: infielder Jason Stokes optioned to triple-A Albuquerque; right-handed pitcher Yorman Bazardo and outfielder Eric Reed optioned to double-A Carolina; left-handed pitcher Chad Bentz, right-handed pitcher J.B. Miadich, catcher Jason Hill and outfielder Matt Padgett all re-assigned to minor league camp. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Admin Beinfest.

 

Today?s moves leave the Marlins with 50 players in Major League camp.

I think it was a good decision to move Stokes up to AAA. He's gonna be able to hit a whole lot of homeruns in the hitter-friendly PCL, and hopefully he'll increase his trade value come deadline time.

i couldnt agree more. Stokes is a good player, he has great potential.
