i'd imagine stan is reluctant to put zo in at the 4 since he has practiced so little at that position and has been a center his whole career.

but god, doleac is horrendous. it's not possible for a player who bills himself as a center to essentially lack all post presence.

what craig said.

zo isnt going to give you big minutes.

you are lucky if you get 20 a game out of him in the playoffs.

10-15 is probably most realistic

I like Doleac. Sue me. We're doing pretty swell without Zo, so I understand Stan's reluctance to use him at present. He'll get some more minutes as the season goes on. Problem is, even in his heyday, Zo had a knack for destroying the fluidity of any offense. Once he gets the ball, he's like a black hole. And he just holds it, and holds it, and holds it. The team's been playing well, so why mess with success.

Tonight has just been an off night. I mean almost no one's playing well. Has Wade ever shot this poorly. 4 for 19? It was bound to happen at some point.

zo just isn't that good anymore ... he is also probably having problems adapting in practice to playing with Shaq and some of the other bigs .. also, he will probably wear down a little quicker, so might as well save him and ease him in ...

one last thing, zo has been shooting his mouth off a little as well .. indicating that if he were on the court with shaq and shaq pulled down a defensive rebound zo would release and establish himself on the block first

something like "first big to the block gets the block"

I'm surprised Zo is able to play at all, since he did retire for awhile due to his health. I still think he's risking his life to just play a few more games. He's already done enough in his career, as far as I'm concerned, and he should retire.

How is that not an intentional foul on Wesley with 2.7 left??

He freaking bear hugged Wade.

that's what i thought

no way he was going for the ball there

They really don't call that in the league. If you're trying to hurt someone you'll get a flagrant but unlike college you don't have to be "going for the ball."

why aren't you guys discussing this on miamiheatcentral.com?

whats that?

Who still thinks Zo is washed up? He still a force to reckon with, more on the Defensive side.

*raises hand*

for any significant period of time zo will not be able to keep it up.

Question Das.

Are you calling him washed up in comparison to what he used to be or are you saying he is washed up because he can not contribute anything meaningful in your eyes?

because he cannot bring it every night.

he will not bring it every night in the playoffs.

call it a combination of age and bad kidneys.

Fair enough. However, I am going to assume he will bring it most nights and have the energey to do so since he sat out most of the year.

We will see in the playoffs, because we need him defensively and he has been a great boost and presence lately.

Das,

I guess we have different meanings for "washed up".

Zo is a bench and a role player. He will continue to contribute to the Heats. Every night? No, not even regulars role players do it. And he will not be asked to do it.

Everything is good with me, As long as he continue to play D like he has
