Posted July 22, 200321 yr I'll be in Atlanta on Thursday and am getting tickets to see the Marlins take on the Braves! It will be the first time I have seen the Fish on the road. Has anyone else been to an away game, and what was your trip like?
July 22, 200321 yr I saw the Marlins play the Yankees in Yankee Stadium.... Fish were up big 11-3 or something and the Yanks made a comeback, Fish won 11-9 i think Lowell and (and i think)Lee went yard
July 22, 200321 yr You are going to love the Ted.... Been there more than a few times and it is what a baseball stadium is supposed to be like. Although it doesn't get as much pub for being a great park like the other "retro's" that have been built recently it's one of the best sites going. Enjoy, and make it to Buckhead and the hanging beer gardens if you get a chance after the game!
July 22, 200321 yr I saw the Marlins in Toronto in 1997 for a 3-game series. The Marlins swept, of course. Hmmm...the last time I went to a Marlins game, they won the world series. Coincedence? Somebody, quick, get me tickets to PPS! :w00t
July 22, 200321 yr Throw Peanuts at the braves fan's....( rep. us well ) lol , u better be wearing a Marlins shirt or jersey !
July 22, 200321 yr i went to the first two redsox vs marlins game this year, the blow out and the one we came back and won, but i guess it was a "home game" for me since i live in mass. it was a ton of fun and i proudly wore the teal, so you better too!!
July 22, 200321 yr I went to Marlins road games in Montreal in 1995 and 1996. I was living in Vermont in 1995 and in Montreal in 1996. As a matter of fact, up to that point, I had seen the Marlins more on the road than at home, until I got back to Florida in 1997.
July 22, 200321 yr The Ted was the home to our first NLCS victory. It will always be special. Hopefully we can get some more of those W's later on this year, too... :w00t :shifty
July 22, 200321 yr We didn't want to pay $200 to stand up!! Shea sucks anyway, you're better off. I've seen the Marlins in Camden Yards, Shea Stadium, and Yankee Stadium.
July 22, 200321 yr I've only been to the Pro and Trop, so I've never had the chance to go to a "real" baseball stadium...
July 22, 200321 yr We play well at Turner Field, esp. Penny and Beckett. The Ted has always been friendly to us like the Pro. Strange since it's 100 feet above sea level or something like that.
July 22, 200321 yr Strange since it's 100 feet above sea level or something like that. At least it's not 5,280 FT. above sea level... :lol
July 22, 200321 yr For the past 3 years I've gone to the Marlins v Dbacks series in Phoenix. It's an excellent stadium in the best part of downtown phoenix. Great bars surrounding the park and everything. Last year I saw Randy and Curt emabarass us as they swept but they won the WS that year so I didn't feel so bad. Preston bombed one out that I got a hand on but I lost it............................damn :banghead
July 22, 200321 yr The only NL West parks we do/did well in were Qualcomm/Jack Murphy, Candlestick, and Pac Bell. We are terrible at Dodger Stadium, BOB, and Coors. The sister team's park is torture to us.
July 22, 200321 yr The Oasis is a makeshift advertising deal that has worked out very well for the Marlins and Sunshine Pools.
July 22, 200321 yr The Oasis is a makeshift advertising deal that has worked out very well for the Marlins and Sunshine Pools. I know... One of our new, successful sponsorships... :w00t :thumbup
July 22, 200321 yr Speaking of sponsorships...Good to see Bank of America jump on the bandwagon for a TV deal... Good to see Miccosoukee as well, although I don't care for the landing strip that now adorns the LF wall.
July 22, 200321 yr I've only been to the Pro and Trop, so I've never had the chance to go to a "real" baseball stadium... Actually Josh you said in a past post... "I have been to Pro Player, Tropicana, and the Vet. The Vet is horrible. I voted for it. Tropicana is actually pretty nice, and Pro Player is one of if not the best football converted baseball stadium around. The only problem with it is the seats aren't angled toward the field for a better view." :mischief2

And we must have gotten a ton of money for "the landing strip"...
July 22, 200321 yr i gone to Dodger staduim , Padres staduim , Red Sox staduim , and Vet to see the fish..
