Freaking Shingo pisses me off when he decides he is going to try and blow hitters away with that 85-88 MPH fastball, and proceeds to get destroyed every once in a while.

Ah well, gotta win this thing here in extra innings.

Gotta win soon...Sox don't have any more pitchers left I dont think

Freaking Ozzie ran through all of them for situational matchups, and now freaking Garland is getting warmed up.

Worst part of it is Contreras pitched great, 6 innings of 1 run ball, should have got a win today....

Hawkins is amazing.

In the 8th, he's a top 5 RP in the game

In the 9th, I could do better than he does.

Hollandsworth blew it for him today but yea...

also, Izzy got out of it and gets the save

Well it could be argued that Spivey, who can motor, would have scored anyways on that play. But either way, man on 1st 2 out with a 1-2 (i think) count, don't be giving up a double.

Hawk was like 15 of 28 in saves last year too or something to that degree, but still had an ERA under 3 because he was so dominant when it wasn't a save spot. He's just a mental case if you make him close.

Which move is the stupidest?

1: The Cubs, after Hawkins cost them the playoffs last year by blowing a ton of saves in the last 20 games, not acquiring a closer this off-season?

2: Dusty Baker bringing in Neifi frigging Perez in a double shift and taking Nomar out in a tied game in extras?

:lol :plain

They were after Kolb and then the Braves came and swiped him.
