July 23, 200323 yr OPS includes OBP plus slugging yes, but player B might have a good OBP and still have a lower OPS because his slugging is low. if the OBP is comparable in both players I pick player B, otherwise I rather have player A.

July 23, 200323 yr I'd take B, sort of This isn't football, theres 162 games over (at least) six months, I'd probably look for a guy who could contribute EVERY night. But theres so many other factors - leadership, experience, passion for the game, defense, etc. so I don't think you can just look at numbers and make your decision.
