Guest Moneyball
The call last night on Delgado's gapper was one of the greatest I've ever heard by a Marlins announcer. It ranks up there with the "MORDY! MORDY! MORDY!" call. If ESPN hadn't broadcasted the game that would have been call of the night. Waltz: Delgado hits one into right center. In the gap! RUN JOE RUN! DILLON AROUND THIRD! RUN JOE RUN! HE'S GONNA SCORE..............BALLGAME!

Marlins2003
I haven't been in the "Waltz sucks" camp and won't be, in fact as courteous as he was to Admin and Marlinsbaseball.com, I don't miss Len Kasper. I don't mean that in a negative way, I loved Len and Tommy, but Waltz has turned out great and he'll get better and better. Waltz roots for the Marlins, and he loves baseball and it comes out every time there's a good play or great hit - he can't help himself - he just explodes with enthusiam! Call him a homer. Call him anything you want, but I hope he and Tommy are partnered in the broadcast booth for a good long time. ------- BTW, I've read where alot of Cubs fans were down on Kasper. Is it still true or has he grown on them? He was great while he was here and I hope things are going better for him in Chicago.
Guest Fritz
I'm glad they played his call on Sportscenter because it was quite awesome. Lots of great energy.

Hollyberry
Someone should make a shirt with a picture of Joe running around the bases and have the famous saying..RUN, JOE, RUN below the picture :plain

Actually yes, the Cubs fans are lukewarm at best to Kasper, but ehh they wouldn't recognize talent if it punched them in the nuts, so whatever. And Waltz's calls of both the home run by Easley to tie it and the walk off double by Delgado were great, to get back on topic.

Accord
After every big play this season, I always wonder what it would have been like if Len was calling it. Even though I like Rich Waltz now, I still miss Len :crying

Guest Jack1
You guys love him.. admit it 782913 I still can't stand him and I think he gets on Tommy's nerves sometimes. There was a point last night when Rich mentioned Jim Thome being like an old time ball player...Tommy didn't think they were that big back then. There was a very, very long silence. You could feel the tension. Rich can make idiotic statements.
CapeFish
For those that hate Waltz because he doesn't root for the Marlins enough... Vin Scully is arguably the best announcer in the history of the game, and he is also the most unbiased. 783001  You talk about the Vin Scully who calls the Dodgers right? Ever hear or watch him on a Dodgers telecast when the men who bleed blue do really, really well? Vin will cheer for them when they are good and rip them when they are bad. National telecasts are different, but he cheerleads all the time when the Dodgers do well on a game he is calling for FSN West 2 or KCOP. Marlins2003
Don't get me started on Admin "make sure there's plenty of mayo on my club sandwich" Anderson. For those of you who don't know why I said that, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox in the middle of a pennant race for Jeff Bagwell (and please don't get me started on Boston Red Sox trades, I'll have a coronary) who every baseball fan in New England knew was the next Ted Williams (sort of), pitching mediocre several games in a row and was asked by a reporter if he felt he wasn't contributing after the Red Sox traded away their future to get him. Admin said he could care less if the Red Sox win or not as long as there was plenty of mayo on the clubhouse sandwiches. Grrrrrrrrr............ (looking up POS in the dictionary to see if they're still using his picture)
