June 8, 200521 yr JP is my favorite player on the team but, while he hasn't slumped as bad as Lowell, he's definitely having a disappointing year. As I can't watch games being out of market, I have no idea why. Can someone give me some info on this?
June 8, 200521 yr all he hits since his HR in colorado are line drives and fly balls, which are not JP's game. i honestly think the HR got into his head, because i remember last year he went into a much smaller slump, also due to a HR he had hit. just my $.02
June 8, 200521 yr JP will break out of his slump. I think that when people started hyping him up about breaking ichiros record that he started to try harder. He needs to just have fun and hit the ball they have a winning record and are 1 1/2 games out of first. Him and Cabrera need to take batting together so Cabs can get him back in line. Steroids have nothing to do with it. Have you seen how small JP is plus he is always really cool if he was on roids he would be an ass and really big. my ($.05)

June 8, 200521 yr Pinch hit??? for my man??? naw this is gay 800170 at least dillon moved easley to 3rd, pierre probably would have lined or popped out
June 8, 200521 yr JP is killing us. 4-0 and cost us the game with the weak throw at home plate on the sac fly (Not his fault, but he is arm is not there) No ending in sight, and the debacle continues
June 8, 200521 yr you are the weakest link... 800272 goodbye?? Willingham to CF?? 800278 Enc would play CF :mischief

June 8, 200521 yr JP needs to level out his swing. He is swinging for the fences every AB and either flying out or topping the ball for a ground out.

He keeps on pulling him IN and OUT of the lineup which is why it is taking much longer than usual for JP to get out of it. That's just the type of player he is. He needs to see some consistent at-bats to get his groove back.

June 8, 200521 yr remember JP was a second half player last year. Right before the all star break ( think against the pirates down here actually grr hate them). He started to break out of his first half slumping. He went on to have his best season ever. That being said there is three other factors to consider here. 1. He was hurt all spring training which means the first two months of the season were really his spring training. 2. He has been hitting far too many line drives and fly balls, someone needs to make him do the Willy mays haze rule. In the game and practices. 3. His step has gotten slower with age, I think he is 2 steps slower then last year. Him and Luis are both getting slower. Next year he is a free agent (most likely in NYY) so enjoy him while you can. If he doesnt come out of it in another month then panic but for now he is fine really.
June 8, 200521 yr fresh fish- No he's not. One game he's in, the other he's out, sometimes comes late into the game for a pinch run or a pinch hit... but Jack's seriously not playing him like he should. Pierre is an everyday type of player, that's what he's used to, that's what he wants. Don't mess with the kids flow.

I've seen though that hes not taking as big of a lead at first base as he used to.

Next year he is a free agent (most likely in NYY) so enjoy him while you can. 800897 He's not getting slower... he's just getting bad leads. Please, the guy is still in his 20's and in great shape. There are guys much older than him, who right now seem faster than Pierre and aren't even in half the shape he's in.
June 8, 200521 yr Marlinator: JP has the most AB's on the team. 800903 I know that, but that's not what i'm trying to say. What i'm trying to say is Pierre's being flip flopped around... he's not getting the chance to settle in.
