Should he be traded or should he stay

i'm not even sure what to post this has got to be the stupidest thread i have EVER seen on this forum. EVER

Something needs to be done.

I don't know how much value he has. Many love his dedication to the game, but is it significantly higher than your average professional athlete? and is it worth acquiring when clearly every team's scouts has found a way to get him out with the season almost half-way over?

At the very least, JP should be platooning and batting lower in the order.

I think it'd be easier to trade him in the offseason than now, but if you can find a team to give up some decent prospects for him, do it, because this season he's not bringing too much to the table on the field.

He hit two balls today that go for hits more often than not. One required a great jump by the OC and the other was a hard shot that Cabrera just happened to snag.

And as I type this the Hero of the Universe forgets to cover second. f***

see ya later JP.... thanks for a nice run

If any outfielder gets traded, it's going to be ENC.

i say keep him, this has just been a bad season so far, but he'll come around, just like lowell has

Hopefully he does. and when he does hopefully the team will start scoring run.

Willingham wouldn't replace JP...but Eric Reed might. He has a lot of similarities to JP.

I really can't believe that Juan is hitting around .250 right now. I never would have seen that coming at the beginning of the year.

Does "yes" mean he should stay or be traded? It doesn't really make sense to me.

Yes means to be traded no means to stay on the team. :cool

Do you guys remember all those articles in the offseason saying that JP shouldn't just be satisfied with 200 hits, that he should be leading the league in hitting too? I know Lenny was pushing him in particular. Maybe all that pressure got to him, and he's just pressing too much. We've all seen him, he's not playing his game -- he's flying out way too much.

Eric Reed isnt very good

The Eric Reed that broadcasts for the Heat or the Eric Reed that can't hit AA pitching?

JP for CPat

:mischief

JP's bat and speed are vaguely resembling his arm, instincts and batting power

Willingham would relace JP's spot in the lineup. Encarnacion would move to center.

I voted wrong. This is the 2000 election in palm beach all over again.

Either flying out or topping the ball.

He needs to level out his swing. It's been that way all season. Why in the hell can't Robinson help him correct it?

This is one of the main reasons I believe it is time for a new hitting coach with a new set of advice.

Bingo

Another startling JP stat:

.182/.270/.291 in 55 at bats with runners in scoring position.

Only Cabrera and Delgado have significantly more at bats in such situations (78 and 64 respectively. Next closest is 61.)

Compare this to Washington in which their leadoff hitter, Brad Wilkerson, has atleast 15 less at bats than 5 other batters.

I really don't understand all this talk about trading JP.

He lead the National league in hits last season and came in 2nd for stolen bases. I'm pretty sure he has a little something left in the tank.

It's very easy to understand. You just have to realize that this board is mainly populated by kids going through puberty who have no idea what they're talking about.
