....anyone up for firing Bill Robinson?

The inconsistency you have witnessed over the last week is why I want him fired.

Gotta love it. Bill's imminent firing is brought up each time the offense sputters.

But yes, I have been ready for a change since last year. It couldn't come a minute too soon. But I'm not holding my breath.

Inconsistency over the past week? It's been going on for more than a season.

Robinson must go.....the lack of a solution to the various issues in our hitter's swings continue to be because of him.

But this week was a brief summary of what has happened over the last 2 years.

When Bill Robinson is fired and the Marlins offense still struggles to score runs, who will be the scapegoat?

Those have been my thoughts this whole time....

I just don't see how such a good line up can be so inconsistent. This isn't natural.

You followed one hypothetical with another.

The first has to happen before we know whether or not the second is the result.

Let's take things one step at a time and get a new hitting coach and then see where we go from there. We certainly can't get much worse.

Why does that statement have a when and not an if?

it's soooooooooooooooo Hammer Time

Apparently the FO hasn't adjusted their watches since 2003.

Does Bill Robinson deserve to be fired? Yes

Will firing Robinson solve the offense's problem? No

Will Bill Robinson be fired? Probably not.

My guess would be Encarnacion, the bullpen or any player not named Willis, Pierre, Lowell or Cabrera.

I am seeing the same BS being spewed here as I have heard swirling around Torborg just before he was fired. At some point, someone has to take responsibility for a wildly inconsistent offense, just as someone had to take responsibility for killing pitchers' arms. In my opinion, Robinson needs to be fired for the exact same reason Torborg was: because he's doing everything wrong and nothing right.

While the onus of the offense lies squarely on the players, something needs to be done. When a team can put up 9 runs in a game and then two games later post 15 it usually signals a team is getting hot. That doesn't appear to be the case with this team, as demonstrated by the shutout, the 2 runs and today only 1 G/D Run?!?!?

I am not sure what we should do with Robinson but I have been watching the Cleveland Indians for about 1 week and they are doing pretty good since they fired their hitting coach. I think they are 11-1. They have also won 8 games in a row.. geez- why cant the Marlins do that :(

She has been to the promised land. All hail the prophetic vision. Fire the Robinson. :notworthy

Their team ERA over that span has been under 3 (35 runs in 12 games). Not to knock on their pitching or anything but when you have a sub-3 team ERA over a span you should win most of those games. 7 games in which they have allowed 3 runs or less.

Yea, but before they fired the hitting coach they would lose games 2-1, 1-0 etc: just like us, and now they are scoring some more runs (I think 3 more runs per game). I am not saying the Marlins will go on a 10 game win streak after the firing but it worked for the Indians.
