I'll take that road trip any day. Especially after the struggles we were having.

Pretty damn good especially when it seemed half way through this road trip thigns were looking down. Definitely good in my book. Coming back home with a big series against the Braves. At least we miss Smoltz this time around

It's always nice to finish up a winning road trip with a sweep. Let's keep the momentum going against some winning teams now.

Nice we come out of this road trip with a little momentum and facing the team that shut them out twice last week. Their offense didn't come to life today, but I have a feeling they'll be just fine this week against the Bravos.

And, just my opinion, but the "road trip" isn't over until the team gets back from New York this coming weekend. 4 games at home and then back on the road is (at least to me) simply a continuation of the trip.

Just got back from the Trop and really enjoyed the 3 game sweep and I caught a foul ball off of Connine and I had fun with fellow Marlins fans who were 10 times more vocal than the Ray's fans who just sit on their hands all game and never cheer or scream. I hope the Marlins are done with their slump and the rest of the season they'll play great ball. :notworthy

You must have missed my post in this thread about let's keep this going against winning teams. We just swept the worst team in baseball to salvage the road trip. A nice end to the trip, but until we start beating teams like Atlanta let's not throw a victory parade yet.

Very true. But it's better that we have strung together some wins at the end here, and have a good chance to continue it against Atlanta. The pitching matchups are very favorable in my opinion, especially any time that you miss Smoltz in the rotation.

It shows the general state of the board. There are some good points made, but mainly here they like to pounce on the negative, instead of enjoying the positive. The volume of posts has slowed dramatically over the last few days. Why don't all or some of you come over from the dark side. Trust me, it's a lot more fun to root FOR Pierre, Lowell, and the whole team hitting. More fun than rooting against so you can come here and say Robinson, Pierre, and Lowell must go. We have a good team. Go Marlins. We have very favorable pitching matchups against the Braves and I think 4-0 or 3-1 is very doable.

Your point was those people who were saying the harsh things aren't around or aren't saying anything anymore. We're still here, and we're still not convinced. Great sweep, great win streak, but let's do this against winning teams. We had a losing record on the road trip before sweeping the worst team in baseball. Quite frankly, if we have serious title aspirations, we ought to sweep the worst team in baseball. I would be much more excited if we had swept say St Louis, or if we had lit up a pitcher with an ERA over 11.00 today.

It started out tough, losing a few close ones. Yet the last four games we've seen several positive signs from the guys. You can see they have more confidence now and that may just be the key to get the season back on track again.

We just need to keep it up

The last few games have really illustrated just how vital Pierre is to kickstarting our offense. He has to be as consistent in getting on base as in years past for us to be successful. When he struggles, the whole offense goes in the tank with him.

Thank-god we got to play the D-Rays, if not then we would have had a bad road trip. It could have been better though, but I'll take it as it is. I won't complain.
