July 26, 200521 yr With no solid QB, no solid offensive line, a wife beating TE and a promising backfield with a guy who has a 4 game suspension and another that hasn't even signed, its gonna be REALLY tough for Saban who, oh yeah, is facing a hard schedule. :confused
July 26, 200521 yr I think we can win 7-8 games. We had a lot of bad breaks (lack of running game or late defensive collapses) that cost us in three games. The Denver, Buffalo home, Baltimore, Arizona, Cincy, etc.
July 26, 200521 yr DENVER BRONCOS -W @ New York Jets -L CAROLINA PANTHERS-W Bye Weekend @ Buffalo Bills -L @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -W KANSAS CITY CHIEFS -L @ New Orleans Saints -W ATLANTA FALCONS -L NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -L @ Cleveland Browns -W @ Oakland Raiders -L BUFFALO BILLS -W @ San Diego Chargers -L NEW YORK JETS -W TENNESSEE TITANS -W @ New England Patriots -L I can see this team going atleast 8-8 or 7-9 in the upcoming season. Anything better is just gravy :mischief
July 26, 200521 yr 6-7 games, if we're extremely lucky. I can't believe we have to play New England up there AGAIN on January 1st. Every time that happens, we have absolutely no chance of winning. None. Zero.
July 26, 200521 yr Both QBs looked like s*** at training camp tonight. The O-line already looked improved, though, and I think it'll just keep getting better. We've got a terrific stable of backs, so I think we'll get some things done on the ground...and, so, hopefully that will open up some things for the QBs, give 'em time, etc. But they were both missing wide open receivers this evening, so it may not matter... Also worried about that second CB spot. I think Travis Daniels has a shot to be a nice reliable CB there, but from what I saw tonight, dude needs to be a lot more physical out there. Maybe he's pacing himself. Reggie Howard got burnt once deep, made a couple nice plays, but I'd love to see Daniels earn the starting role. Anyway, those are our big weaknesses, but I think with a good running game, and this new defensive scheme, we can surprise some people. I'm gonna say 8-8 because the schedule is very tough, but this team would probably make the playoffs if it were in the NFC.
July 26, 200521 yr 0-1, at least that's what I hope :thumbup . 874626 Still more than the Florida Panthers had this season.
July 26, 200521 yr I lost a lot of respect for Saban when he turned his draft into giving a contract to any guy who beat his tigers. I say 7-8 wins is a reasonable prediction.
July 26, 200521 yr 7 I say they go 7-9, Defense and maybe some Ricky will win games but the QB situation is going to screw us out of the playoffs... Gus Ferotte and AJ Feeley are not the answer.

You cant complain with brown, roth, and rowder, arguably 3 1st rnd talents. Daniels was also a very good 4rth rnd pickup, great value. Saban has brought in young talent for the future along with a great staff that should make us a playoff team next year with a good draft.

July 26, 200521 yr I'm being optimistic. More realistic, but still optimistic, would be: DENVER BRONCOS -W @ New York Jets -W CAROLINA PANTHERS-W Bye Weekend @ Buffalo Bills -L @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -W KANSAS CITY CHIEFS -L @ New Orleans Saints -W ATLANTA FALCONS -W NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -W @ Cleveland Browns -W @ Oakland Raiders -W BUFFALO BILLS -W @ San Diego Chargers -L NEW YORK JETS -W TENNESSEE TITANS -W @ New England Patriots -L

I say 7-8 wins is a reasonable prediction. 875024 To his credit, he knows these players really really well. I remember reading how Jimmy Johnson did the same when he came in and that turned out well. As for the fins, the defense is still going to be and the offense with a bad QB will still be mediocre. Im not expecting too much this season. I do see them going 8-8 though.
July 27, 200521 yr Figuring that I will be in Europe next Jan/Feb Dolphins will have a miracle year and get into the SB. I'm just hoping for 7 wins. Going to be another long year.
July 28, 200521 yr lets just not finish last 877180 The thing is, we could have a record above .500 and still finish in last.
July 29, 200521 yr Author lets just not finish last 877180 Why not? I'll give you a #1 reason to finish last: Matt Leinart. Him and Ronnie Brown could do a lot of damage to the AFC East, for a looooong time.
