July 26, 200520 yr Does Houston scare anyone else but me? Their pitching staff is amazing, their closer is great. They have talent still and it seems their bats are coming alive. They are starting to truly be on fire and making a great run. Does this scare you all too? I know they have Alot of games against the Cubs and St louis still. But still. they scare me.

July 28, 200520 yr i think houston is overachieving offensively IMHO. i dont see them consistently putting up offensive #'s like they are without bags or beltran. the cubs arent gonna win the wild card b/c they are stupid? wow thats a good reason lol
July 28, 200520 yr Don't forget those Oakland A's they are the AL version of the stros, they exploded. Remember how we beat the giants 16-4? They got the same score but shutout the Giants 16-0!
July 29, 200520 yr Roy Oswalt, Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte are ridiculous after the All Star. Just that alone makes me scared of the Astros. They have Ensberg who has been a beast. Also Berkman is returning to form. The Marlins either play .650 ball the rest of the way or the Stros win the WC.
July 29, 200520 yr I think the Astros will be there until the very end. However, this year I think they peaked too early. Last season they went on their incredible tear in August, and were able to sustain the winning into September and then into the first half of October. This year, their big month has been July, and one would have to question if they could stay white hot for 3 months (and potentially more) or just 2 months like they did last season.
July 29, 200520 yr They are going to catch the Cardinals. At the present rate they are going, they could surpass the Cardinals by season end. They are an amazing squad with terrific youngsters. I'd keep as good as an eye on them as South Floridians do with the tropics. This team, in my opinion, will make the playoffs, and if they can acquire another bat in the outfield, they could win the NL.

July 29, 200520 yr sry das i guess i missed u sayin that..... ya they scare me too..... seeing how we 5.5 back from the braves the Wild Card is all we might really have..... and the astros are hot 9-1 in there last 10 5 wins ina row...... they found there nitch...... all the pieces to the puzzle have finally come...... kinda like whats happning to us...... with the excpetion that the astro's win there 1st game in a series..... def got keep ya eye on the astro's...... and the Nats are failing like everybody wantted them to...... and the phillies just lose thome again...... not to mention they dont have the strarting pitching
